I have 18 lines back to the 1500's trying to get people to make corrections on find a grave is a nightmare because of people like you being RUDE, calling names and just being MAD IN A HURRY to send in a LOT of numbers ,
when you point out that the date on the stone is not what they have on record and they chew your head off, and only offer excuses.

I recall that some of the information we may have gotten was from a line in the Democrat News and some confirmation was provided by a family member.
I went to the Stephens Berry Cemetery with Debbie Robinson, she got permission for us to access from Jay Hansmann who owned the land at the time.
I know that you put it there because of what the death certificate says. I would have too. I just don't know how to research these any more with most of those who had the knowledge of these facts are now gone, and that includes Geraldine, which saddened me a great deal, as I worked with her so much.
Her father's death certificate says Captains Creek, which was why I was wondering where Faro was in refence to this cemetery. Spike King told me that you could get to the cemetery from his place which of course was right up the road. I wish there was a way to confirm these facts. It's what we live for.

I was just looking through the cemeteries when I came across this entry.
When Geraldine Sanders Smith and I were researching this cemetery we were told her father had her buried at the Stephens/Berry Cemetery at Faro/Captains Creek, and her grave was unmarked. I realize her death certificate says French Mills. Her husband Perry Shoemaker was something else from the research I obtained from Vi Kennedy.
The information we obtained did indicate that she was buried at the Stephens Berry Cemetery. Is that actually in Faro it seems that it should be Captains Creek,as it is right off of the road next to Captains Creek.
I just wanted to pass this on to you as it has been on my mind for sometime. If you check the Madison County Cemetery Book Vol II she is listed in the Stephens/Berry Cemetery.
|Michael Miller||RE: Mary Lacey|
Thank you for making the requested changed.
In the Thomas Family papers, and in the Howell bible she is listed as Mary Elizabeth. She was named after her Mother, Mary Elizabeth "Molly" Howell. She was also my Grandfather's first cousin, and I spoke with her several times on the family and she confirmed her name to as Mary Elizabeth, her nickname "Dade" was acquired during childhood and stuck with her in the family through most of her life. I have her obituary and on the Mackley site for St Francois County, there is a death notice for Mary Lacey, which is her. I see that it is listed as Marie in her husband's obit. In the 1900 Census she is listed with John & Nancy Howell, her grandparents as Mary. I appreciate you changing it, I don't submit requests that I can't prove or backup with data that I have collected, and I am always happy to share or provide the proof if necessary. Many Thanks for all that you do.
