multiple spellings of a name cannot be entered in any of the name fields; use the spellings as they appear on the grave marker and all other variations can be mentioned in the bio. thank you.

the last name on the memorial must match the last name on the grave marker, so in cases where a woman is buried with a previous husband, that previous married name - if on the grave marker - is how the memorial should be listed. thank you.

previous married names should not be entered into the maiden name or last name fields, as the search engine cannot find compound names. Find A Grave specifies that previous married names should be mentioned in the bio. thank you.

Vanscoy research
If you have any information on Aaron Vanscoy or Van Scoy and Ruth Grimes we would appreciate it. The are my wife's side, and this is as far as we can go back in time.

Hensrote Family in Cherry Orchard Cemetery
I want to ask for your permission to use your headstone photos in my ancestry.com family tree. I will give you credit for the photos. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks very much!

RE: Viola Ambrose
You were correct. It says on the bottom the stone "wife and daughter of..." I just put the memorial reference in the wrong place when adding the family. Thank you again for catching the mistake.

BTW...I think you and I are related. I transferred a bunch of your people from Oakland Cemetery and then when I was looking for graves for my family, found all the ones I transferred were in my tree as well.

Thanks for the note. Now have her as the child instead of the spouse!

Sorry, outside of the Find A Grave guidelines for transfer so I will not be transferring at this time.

McGinnis
Hi Cindy - I believe my 3 times great grandparents are buried in this cemetery. I did see their Daugher Susanna McGinnis Murphy name and info... I am thinking their graves may be ones that you can no longer see the markings on the stones? I am trying to find out who the caretaker is or a phone number that may have some records for the church/cemetery. I tried looking it up online - no number or address. and also called directory assistance and they could not find a listing of any combination for the cemetery church. DO you happen to know who the caretaker is? If so, please email me at beth.barber@usace.army.mil thanks you
