RE: Lucy Bryant
My computer that I had a lot of stuff stored on crashed. I'll have to relocate some of the things I had found. It might take me a few days but expect an email from me within a week. I will start you out with a book "Heart of the Eagle" written by Brent Alan Cox. google that and it will show you where lucy and john bryant are listed in his book.

RE: Lucy Bryant
I am a relative, also from the Bryant side of the family descending from Lucy Bryant's son John Tsoni Bryant. I have been working on the family tree for about 3 years and have found enough to ensure me her Maiden name was Ward. He mother was Lucy ward from England and her father was chief Oconostota. Lucy Ward Bryant was born at Chota in Tellico Plains, TN. She ended up in Gibson County after she married JOhn ChuNauWee Briant/Bryant. Lucy was given a land grand after his death fighting along side Andrew Jackson at Horseshoe Bend in Tallapoosa, AL in 1814. I have seen the land grants given to Lucy Ward Bryant in 1817 or 1818. Because her husband and her family supported Andrew Jackson, they were not forced to walk the Trail of Tears. If you would like documentation, I will be glad to send you what I have found in email. Just leave your email here.

I am Paul Belew, Contributor #47510279. My G G G Grandmother was Mary Polly (Bryant) Belew 70066446

Mary was a granddaughter to Lucy Briant/Bryant.

Jere Cox, 2063 E. Oakmill Dr, Milan, TN 38358 has a lot of information on Lucy Bryant. Jere said she married an Indian Trader, Zachariah Briant.

Mary was listed on the Cherokee Rolls and was granted land in Georgia in 1817, but later taken away from her when gold was found on her land.

Jere showed me a cemetery on the Federal Arsenal land in Gibson County, TN and she is possible buried there. No documents were found on this.

Doyce Perry
Adam, I cannot thank you enough for going over to Meridian and taking the picture of Doyce Perry's grave. I know how hot Tennessee is in July and you are THE BEST for doing this. Jane
