Bio Photo My name is Shelba Yoes, I was born and raised in the Northwest Arkansas area, having lived in Greenland for most of my life. My husband, Bill, and I have raised our family of four children in Greenland and now have 4 grandchildren. Geneaology has always been an interest of mine and now, being semi-retired after 35+ years of operating a daycare, I'm working on filling in the blanks in the family tree, with sometime surprising results. The family lines I'm currently at work on include the Yoes, Parrish, Southern, Loftin and Moore lines. I have been transcribing cemeteries for about the last year. And photographing stones, whenever available to place with the information. If you have requests for headstones in my immediate area, I'll be happy to help find these and get the information to you. For the information I enter onto Find-A-Grave I use back up documentation from a headstone, death notice, census or other document; however, there is always the opportunity for error and if you find an error in a posting of mine, please let me know and I will be happy to correct it. I can be reached at

Hi, hope all is well with you. Was just wondering if you would correct Wanda Southerns birthday she was born. She was born in 1912 I believe not 1612, Have you found any of the other Southern children. I know 2 of them moved to AK. Take care now. Lenora

I have already corrected it all. As I found the site I put in. You seem to have most all the Southern family, was wondering if you knew where they are buried. As there are 13 children.??? Just wondering. Take care now.Lenora

Was wondering if you would please give the site of my sister back to me that I put on myself. My sisters name is Leona Elizabeth Clark Southern in the New Auburn cemetery in Auburn CA. You also have she is the daughter of Roy and wanda Southern, but she is not, she is the daughter of Jack and Eunice clark buried in the Janesville Cememtery in Janesville CA. Would you please change this, and also give this site back to me, as I was the one that did put it on in the first place as she also has a son buried there with her. Now her husband has passed away as of yesterday and wanted to add his name with his own site, but cannot link them now because the site is under your control. Please do return it to me. My name is Lenora Collier and my memorial no is 47308736. I do thank you very much for letting me have control of my sister site again. Mrs. Lenora Collier

Marrs Family
Shelba, I appreciate all your work on cemeteries in NW Arkansas. I am researching the Marrs family of NW AR. One of the first settlers of Washington County, AR was James Marrs. It is said he died in Prairie Grove, Washington, AR around 1876. He was born on 20 Aug 1784, maybe in VA. However I have been unable to find his grave. Do you know if there is a Marrs Family Cemetery in Washington County, that may not have been inventoried yet?
