I've been doing genealogy about 30 years. I've found that cemetery information, although not always right it sure can lead to some great leads.|
Family names I am working on
Shaw, Waldren, Moore, Henderson & Knox from Vinton County, Ohio;
Haynam from Stark, Carroll & Columbiana Counties, Ohio;
Reid & Banta from Preble County, OH.
Indiana - Mason, Reid, Sturgeon, & Headington from Jay County, Indiana
Massachusetts - Kenney, Redden, Gibson,
New Hampshire - Boynton, Hopkins
Nova Scotia - Kinney, Letteney, Sabean, Warne, Doty & Prime from Digby County;
Redden & Trenholm from Kings County, N.S.
Vermont - Perry, Hopkins & Gibson from Windsor County, VT.
Also working on Cox, Carter, Price, Mourn, Hartman & Foughty in Athens County, Ohio.
I live in south western Ohio and can get over to parts of Indiana also. I'm glad to help when I can, in the mean time I am trying to input information from the cemeteries in my area.
Please contact me for corrections or doubles. I will gladly transfer memorials.
The chair in the photo is located in the Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, Ohio. It is under the name of Margaret Duncan look at the other stones she and her husband James Duncan have - no I don't know them but I love the chair!! I like the thought of being comfortable at the cemetery.
Please visit my sister's memorial. She lost her battle with pancreatic cancer Feb 16, 2016. 158257318

|Becky||RE: Jesse Johnson photo request|
Thanks Lu! I have a feeling they made a mistake and had added him twice to the records, but made an error in birth the first time. I had noticed that Sarah was listed twice as well. That is why I was a little leery putting the other Jesse Johnson on with the birth year 1833. I'll have to see if I can find something on Family Search to try to verify that one.
Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave. It is appreciated so very much.

|Becky||Jesse Johnson photo request|
Thank you so much for taking the photo of Jesse and his family gravestones. I appreciate it so very much. I have a feeling there is no Jesse Johnson born in 1833 buried there. There must have been an error in the cemetery records I found online. Thank you for your help on that. You are the best!
Have a great week,

|Polar Bear Mom||RE: Tombstone photos|
Thanks! How I love finding stones that you (or others) have already created the memorials for! Spifftastic and I hope to meet up some day. Thanks for ALL that YOU have done. It astounds me! Quick question, there was no plot info for Ranstead #176666168. That's a first for me. The online records have been so complete. Does the cemetery want to know?
|Joan Harvey||Albert K. Martin in Mt. Feake|
Thanks so much for the info on Albert K. Martin, the brother of my great-grandmother. I have searched for years to see what happened to him. He evidently separated from his wife, Carrie Johns Martin, but they were never divorced. He lived with Charlotte Arvilla Rogers Cutler Grinnell who he always called his "housekeeper". This explains why she owns the plot where he is buried beside her sister! I found the cemetery by way of her son, Percy Cutler, then found Charlotte also in Mt. Feake, and finally Albert K. Martin. Albert and Carrie's daughter, Alberta Martin, married William Rogers, the son of Charlotte Rogers' brother. This solves the puzzle of why Albert is not buried with his wife and daughters. He remained with Charlotte until he died.
Your entry has solved a big mystery for our family.

|GraveyardGeologist||Castine Cemetery (Darke County)|
I've seen your photos just about every where nice work.I'm checking into a small cemetery Just north of Castine Ohio, I noticed you had photographed headstones at the large cemetery on 722 and was interested to know if you were aware of this small one just east of 127 on the north edge of town. If so does it have a name and have you photographed any of it?
|Troy ||Bessie Tolliver/Byers/Hartman|
This is Troy (#49166010) I am looking in to my past, Their is A men that I come across named George Byers and he had a lot of kids it seem like. Fore of his kids were saying that Bessie Byers was there mother, I tried to submit an edit to get George put on as a second spouse. I still going to keep trying to unite our family. I believe This is Bessie Tolliver/Byers/Hartmam. And Bessie is my grandma's mother, My grandma is Evelyn Carsey/Byers. If you have info on Bessie kids I'm interested.

|Bobby Stapleton||Laura Beverly Gardner|
Memorial Number 114915190 Laura is my wife's Grandmother and we always believed by research and family records that as you stated on this site that her Father was George Beverly and Mother was Rachel Henry. The question I have is: below this statement is also her Parents and her Mother is shown as Rachel Francis Newland Beverly. Is there something I'm missing. I'm doing research for my wife's family booklet and am stuck with this one.
Thanks Bob Stapleton
