RE: Nicolas Helsel
Brent is really a nice guy. I met him at Green Lawn where he fixed up headstones in the Jewish Section 44.

RE: Nicolas Helsel
Thank for catching that. I have deleted the picture. Since there was already one on the other memorial I did not move it. Thanks again!

RE: Ira Green, d OH 1898
Thanks so much for explaining how to find the rest of the death record.
Ira had sons b. 1851(Ira Jr.) and 8/8/1853 (George Washington Green). So unless Nelson was a twin...

Zelda. I visited the M Hill cem in 2013 and came to the same conclusion you did about Ira's burial with no additional engraving on Eliza's large stone, especially after I found the Columbus Health Dept. record by son John stating that the burial was intended to be in Reynoldsburg. However, with all the confusion re the Silent Home Cem. I would like to see it in another record. I had found the record for Ira at Family Search but do not see a way to get to the Cemetery information. Is it a notation in the hard copy record only or....?
I really do not think they had a son Nelson. Son John married Mary Nelson in 1873. Could b. have been 1883? They had sons in 1880, another not until 1885. If Nelson died after 1889, Eliza would already have been buried there which would be a reason to use that cemetery. They lived in Marion Twp. and then downtown Cols. John&Mary are buried at Green Lawn.

Thank you very much for contacting me to share info abt Ira Green.
Can you tell me more about the Probate death record you used. Where did you find it? I would like to examine it.
Ira is my husband's 2gr grfa. (I use my maiden name.) What is your interest in Ira? (Why were you working on him?)
Note Ira's marriage was 1842, not 1892.
Thanks again,
Marj Adams

Dear Zelda,

I am writing to you regarding the memorial you originally posted for Philemon Needles and then transferred to me. I have found out that there was an earlier memorial created for this person. I should have realized it because I am maintaining both memorials! Anyway, I need to delete yours because the other was posted first.

Would you please post your nice close up photo of the inscription on Find A Grave Memorial# 50065985?

I would appreciate it very much. Thank you.

Ella McKinney Manley memorial
Correction to your Find-A-Grave memorial for Ella McKinney.

Find A Grave Memorial# 76049450

She was not married to John W. Manley. He never married at all. He spent the last several of decades of his life in the Central Ohio Psychiatric Hospital (see death cert below).

John W Manley in the Ohio, Deaths, 1908-1932, 1938-2007
Birth Date: 1894
Gender: Male
Race: White
Residence Place: Columbus, Franklin, Ohio, United States
Death Date: 2 May 1969
Hospital of Death: Central Ohio Psychiatric Hosp
Death Place: Columbus (Pt), Franklin, Ohio, USA
Certificate: 035674
Age at Death: 75
Certifier: Physician
Autopsy: No Autopsy performed
Marital Status: Never Married (Single)
Census Tract: 0580

Just a co-incidence that these two are in the same cemetery.

Not sure if you or the person who "put" John on Find-A-Grave "linked" them together. They should not be. I also contacted her.

FYI ... Ella did marry a John Manley but John Henry Manley and NOT John W. Manley (in fact, he was too young for her).

Here's who should be her husband:
John Henry Manley

Birth: Oct. 28, 1875 Middleport, Meigs County
Ohio, USA
Death: Apr. 5, 1961 Montgomery, Fayette County
West Virginia, USA

Burial: Jenkins Cemetery, Deep Water, Fayette County, West Virginia, USA

There is actually a second memorial that has more info but different cemetery:

Thanks for being a volunteer, know that we never hear that very often, but it's a wonderful source of information.
