I am new to 'Find a Grave' and just trying to correct my immediate family's listings. I do not know why adding my uncle's middle name requires approval or went to Rita Zipfel for approval. Please advise.

Hi Paul,
You have to let Eric Flint connect Paul to his parents. I can't do it, because I didn't enter his memorial.

RE: Blue Cemetery
I wasn't sure how to mark the location exactly. Here's a link to a close up of the cemetery location. Looking on a map it is basically a clump of trees surrounded by a corn / soybean field.,-84.5032328,94m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en

RE: Blue Cemetery
Hi Eric,
I have lived in Defiance since June of 2014. I've never lived this far in northern Ohio before. I was doing a series on some of the pillars in our church. While I was researching, I accidentally came across the Snook name. My mother's mother was a Snook. A little digging showed me that the Snooks up here are distant cousins. It was cool to have a connection up here, however remote.

The family search records told me William Snook was buried in Blue Cemetery in Defiance County. As you know, it is non existent on any maps today. So I checked out one of the old maps and found it. I made my way down 424 toward Ft. Wayne, turned right on Jacobs Rd, went to the end of the gravel lane (Jacobs Trail on maps.) Getting out of the car, I searched up and down along the Maumee. Finally, I turned and saw the clump of trees, and wondered if that was the cemetery in its wild and untamed state. As I made my way over, sure enough, almost right in front of me was the partially broken Snook stone. There are perhaps half a dozen other grave markers at least partially visible. It's on private land, but I assume the owners don't live here.

I am glad you contacted me. Since I am new to this I am not sure how to correct previously submitted info. That one pic of the Broken Snook stone that has the "Will..." stove sitting on top needs to be removed from "find a grave."

We will talk more.

Here's the mapquest link.

Peter Long
The tomb stone says died 1855 (Which is right) the date on the site says 1863. Peter Long, Jr. was my third great grandfather, his wife Sarah Kemp Long Murphy McKown married her 2nd husband George Murphy in 1856 in Paulding County, OH. d I have photos of part of the probate of Peter Long Sr. who died in Whitley County, IN starting who the children of Peter Long Jr. were. one being my 2nd great grandmother Margaret (also know as Peggy in the 1850 census in Portage County, OH), in the 1960 she was listed as Margaret Murphy, by the 1870 census she was married to Elias Dart. One of Peter Long Jr. and Sarah Kemp committed suicide in Paulding County, OH in 1895. Esther
