ANCESTRY.COM USERS: |
Please do not use my personal photos or the bios on my memorials unless you ask first. I've researched and written all the information included on these memorials, some information is not included on any document found at Ancestry.
Copy and pasting is not researching!
I've been researching my family genealogy for over 20 years and love doing it.
Most of the memorials I've added are family.
I've also added some Scotland's Comonwealth War Dead, my interest stems from a great uncle that died in WWI. I found his record in the CWGC.
Transfer gladly done if they're not my family. Or will add any info or links you may have. If anyone has any corrections or info to add on any of my memorials, I'd also be happy to add it, if it is sourced.
If you are also searching these surnames I'd love to hear from you. I'm always willing to share factual information.

|Rhea Gilbert||RE: William Brown Family|
Jill, The information regarding Mary Anna Brown comes from the Genealogical & Biographical Record of North-Eastern Kansas-dated 1900 regarding the bio of John Murray son of Robert Murray and Jane Anderson (Robert being son of Neil Murray and Anna Brown) Here is an excerpt from that bio:
Robert Murray, the father of our subject, was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, his parents being Neal and Mary Ann (Brown) Murray. In his youth Robert Murray learned the trade of stone mason, which calling he pursued during his active life. He chose for a wife Miss Jane Anderson, a native of the same state and a daughter of Francis Anderson. Politically Mr. Murray was affiliated with the Whig party, and both he and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian church.
If you like I can print out the entire bio and send it to you. I got this information just recently from another Murray researcher, Chryl Lawrence. She has a family tree on Ancestry but it is private-she gave me access to it so have been filling in blanks. She is an expert researcher and has documented sources.
Let me know if you want the bio and I can email it to you.
|Rhea Gilbert||Brown Family|
My 3rd great grandmother, Mary Murray, was the daughter of Neil Murray and Mary Anna Brown daughter of William Brown and Christian Thompson. I see you have birth places in Scotland for Christina and William Brown. I've been on the website "Scotlands People" to see if I could find birth records, but to no avail. So I'm hoping that could might give me your sources for their birth places. This family line is my paternal side of the family. Would love to correspond with you.

Hi Jill! I just made a quick run up to Middlesex Presbyterian Church Cemetery, in Butler County, Pa. I was planning on taking photos of your Browns that you have listed on Find A Grave. I left a voicemail at the beginning of the week with the church office expressing my desire to research a few graves today, Friday Oct 7th. I never heard back from them. I drove up (it's only 3 miles from my house) and I wandered around and checked out some of the very old graves searching for your George, Mary, William, Mary and Catherine Brown. I came up empty. But the old graves are usually so difficult to read due to erosion and moss growth etc. So, hopefully, the church office will eventually get back to me and I can research "your people" for you and get you all the info that is available from the church office and take photos of the stones, or locations where your ancestors rest. I'll be in touch!

|mary herrmann||RE: Ralph Beas Memorial|
Ralph had 3 sisters named Ruth, Victorine, and Mary, and a brother named Harold. All of the Beas siblings are deceased. My mother was their first cousin who immigrated from Ireland in 1949. My mom just turned 102 and lives in Mass. with me. I just started doing genealogy a year ago and find it fascinating. I have exhausted my Irish lines since the records are hard to come by. We are now working on my husband's German and French Canadian sides, and the records are excellent.
|mary herrmann||Ralph Beas Memorial|
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed viewing the memorial sites for your Aunt Mae and Uncle Ralph. Ralph was my mother's(Margaret Hynes) first cousin. I have been working on the genealogy of Ralph's mother's side (Kerrigan) and came on Find-A-Grave to look at the Beas graves.
|Jay Mumper||RE: John Kinter|
I found this source online: http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/indiana/military/revwar/johnkinter2.txt
At one time I had a PDF another form with John Kinter's Revolutionary War record, but cannot find it now.
I am descended from John's son Archibald on my mother's side.
