|Have about 200,000 photos of mostly British Commonwealth war graves, some American, some German, etc. Check out my website at www.southafricawargraves.org . I don't have everyone's relatives headstone, but if it is a war grave I can steer you in right direction. Please check out the other war grave project links on my home page. My photos are free, and I ask for nothing in return, unless you plan to publish on a website then simply credit my name Ralph McLean and put a link to the South Africa War Graves Project on your site.|
I am interested in any graves of soldiers that were born, enlisted or lived in The Pas, Manitoba, Canada. I am interested in any graves in The Pas, Manitoba.
My other interests are with the Canadian Army Veterinary Corps in WW1.
While I don't usually have many records under my management, I'm more of a request filler, I will transfer what I do have to family.

|Merle Armstrong||RE: Ireland/Pic.|
Not a relative - He was previously in the North West Mounted Police in Canada (which became the Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and working to identify burial locations and to add pictures of anyone who ever served in the Mounted Police at:
www.rcmpgraves.com I will have his picture added soon - For a moment today I wondered if he was the correct person as I found his name on a marker in Canada but he was just being memorialized on the family marker. You assistance is appreciated.
Thank you so very much for the great picture - I am very pleased to get this one and your effort is greatly appreciated. All the best!!

|Alison||an odd question|
Just wondering if you know how or where to find information about Canadian Soldiers who fought and died in South Africa? There is a gent in this area looking for information from around the time of the Boer War.
Any hints / tips you can share might help him

|Islandergirl||James Weeks - no stone|
I went yesterday to fulfill the requests for the section that Mr. Weeks is buried in. Sadly, there is no stone. However, if you are interested, I remembered hearing about the fact that veterans affairs in Canada will provide free markers. On their website, is the following:
Honouring Canada’s fallen
On behalf of the Government of Canada, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) cares for the graves of 110,355 Canadian soldiers who died during the First and Second World Wars.
First World War - August 4, 1914 to August 31, 1921
Second World War - September 3, 1939 to December 31, 1947
VAC is responsible for maintaining the more than 200,000 graves of Canadian Armed Forces members who died outside the dates listed above.
Preserving our heritage
If you know about an unmarked Veteran's grave or a military marker that needs maintenance, or you require additional information, contact Cemetery Maintenance at email@example.com or 902-626-2440.

You answered a photo request for me for this Seaman's name on the Wall of the Missing. I have a favor to ask and please feel free to say no.
I want to post a close up of just his name. Of course it is very short and kind of wide. I posted it but will delete it on your say so. Here is a link:
Downard Photo clip
If you think it looks silly or you simply don't want me doing this to your photo or any other reason, just say the word and I will delete it. And if you are okay with it, I will add a note that you gave me permission to do it.
And, no, I am not wanting to replace your photo. I like it. And if I should move it up one, I can do that too. I appreciate the effort it must have taken to photograph so many names.
Thanks either way,
Hi, Sorry my computer crashed. Do I have to send you all the memorials to you or just the one that connects them all?
