Bio and Links
Bio Photo I recently became interested in cemeteries after my first visit to Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale and Hollywood California. There was a sense of peacefulness and tranquility that I haven't found anywhere else. Even though I live in Illinois, at the moment, I know Forest Lawn is where I want to spend eternity and I have already purchased my niche in the Courts of Remembrance, Columbarium of Tranquil Memories, niche #65236.

Once back in Chicago, I visited several cemeteries. My favorites being Rose Hill, Graceland, and Acacia Park. Touring the magnificent Mausoleums and seeing the beautiful monuments in these parks brings a sort of closure to my fear of death. Cemeteries aren't only a place for the dead, they are a place for the living as well. They have beauty and history. They remind us all that death is a part of life, and we should embrace it and never fear it.

Thank You
Thanks for posting the photo of Ralph L. Bliss and his biography. This is my wife's grandfather and it is the first photo she has seen of him.

RE: Johnny P. Mann 1930-2004
Hi Robert

I believe that one of the photo I sent you might be the actor Jonny Mann. After you confirm, crop & post the photo. I would love to know your findings if it is him or if it is someone else with that same name.

Have fun & enjoy the photos,

RE: Columbarium of Tranquil Memories
Hi Robert,

I think its a wonderful ideal to complete the memories in the Tranquil Section & I am glad to help. Note that it is easier for me to post the photos via photo request, because all of the names would be in one place & I would just have to click & post them. I will take as many photo in that section as I can.

I tried & was unseccfull in Email you. I had attached to an email a map with the vault numbers in the Tranquil Memories Section. I was hoping that you could hightlight on the map the incomplete memories for me.

My Email is

Checking In...
Hello - near relative. Yes, I'm Janice's cousin and the last time I saw Steve was at his father's funeral. I first met Steve years ago when he came to California for a visit. Don't see relatives that much, since I moved to California 40+ years ago. I get back for visits, but usually to Wisconsin, since the only relatives I have left in Oswego are the Carpenters (kids) and brother Joey Seidelman of Aurora and brother John's widow, Lois in Oswego.
I think it's great you're doing photos and I know what you mean about being in cemeteries is a very peaceful feeling.
Stay well and fall's coming so the cool weather isn't too far away.

Not related...
I'm not related to Sheryl... and glad you got a photo. I was born in Aurora and most people think that Lincoln Memorial is in Aurora - I have several relatives buried there, but when I go, I'll be buried on my mother's grave in Pearce Cemetery in Oswego. I've been in California for over 40 years now and I'll be going back to be buried in Illinois. Strange world we exist in.
Keep up the good work and always glad to transfer memorials I don't know when someone adds a photo.
