Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in south-central Indiana all of my life and I have been living in Bloomington since the Fall of 1982.

In 2004, I started wandering cemeteries locating veterans who died while in service to our country. I have quite an extensive collection of photographs and bios. In 2013 I started extensively photographing the gravestones at Clear Creek Cemetery in Monroe County, Indiana.

I find that cemeteries are fascinating, peaceful and contain a wealth of history if people will only take the time to look and wander.

My hobbies include reading, photography, spending time with family & friends, watching Indianapolis Colts football & IU men's basketball, and wandering through cemeteries.

I pride myself as a photo volunteer of taking the best photo(s) that I can for the requester. I have been enjoying photography since I bought my first 35mm film camera in 1978. I have been shooting all digital for several years now.

If I have added a family member of yours and you would like for me to transfer the memorial to you, let me know and I will gladly do that.

If you don't mind, there's another one I just found: Clara May (maiden name Koontz) who died in 1973. Thanks ahead of time!

Jim, do you live in Monroe County? If so, the library will send you a copy for free from what I can tell on the website. Search for Ruth McGown at the link below (she is the only result that pops up). There will be a link below that says "County residents: Order online". If that's easier...

Bloomington World Telephone obituaries
Hi Jim, you seem to have access to obituaries printed in the Bloomington World Telephone. You have a couple posted on memorials #152083217 and 152083162. Absalom's daughter by his first wife was Ruth (Storm) McGown. She passed in 1950 and had an obituary published in The World Telephone on 13 Feb 1950. I was wondering if you could look that up to see if you could find it and see if it mentions where she is buried. Thanks for your time!

Thomas E. Madden and Lucinda "Lucettie" Madden
Thanks for creating the memorials for Thomas E. and Lucinda Lucettie Mitchum Madden, I sure appreciate it and the obituaries that you posted were wonderful to find.
Thomas ( His name was originally Edmond Thomas) was my great uncle and it is great to obtain so much info on him. You have done much to help others in their research by creating these memorials! You may transfer the memorials on Thomas and Lucinda "Lucettie" to me if you wish. Did you take a photo on Isabell Madden who died in 1926 and was buried at Clear Creek? She was Thomas' third wife.

Thanks again,
Nancy Moore
