Bio Photo November 3, 2015 ----

I finished my Gardner and surrounding towns database. It centers on Gardner but I included information on the early residents of Templeton, Winchendon, Westminster, and Ashburnham, Massachusetts garnered from the town histories, censuses, and vital records. It is uploaded to and has over 101,000 individuals.

If you do not wish to have a memorial online for your relative then let me know and I will delete it.

I have not cleaned the stones so you might come across a photo of one of your relative's stones and think, "what a mess". If you would like a better picture posted then I can go out and retake it no problem and do a little clearing away of dirt and weeds to boot. I just figured I could get all the photos done in a more timely manner and then make a better effort on the ones people actually are interested in seeing.

I have determined the genealogy of most of the original settlers (see my website below) of Gardner MA. Most of these people are buried in the Old Burial Ground while a few are in Green Bower and Crystal Lake Cemeteries. I have also traced the lineages of their progeny as far as the early 1900s and sometimes further.

I am not originally from this town and so I would be glad to transfer the memorials if you want them. As always, feel free to download any photo I've taken and I'd be glad to do some searching in my area if you can't do it yourself.

'Nuff said. Ed

#50887074 John Prescott
Hi! Thanks for all your efforts on findagrave. I just wanted to let you know that you have the wrong death date for John Prescott. We don't actually know when he died, but he was alive in 1710 when he remarried. He married 15 November, 1710 in Marlborough to Mary Haynes. You can see this in Marlborough vital records here: page 298. He married Mary Haynes, widow of Josiah Howe. Thanks!

RE: Elisabeth Cash Stewart
I noticed last night there are two 1732 dates for an Elizabeth Cash... one was Elizabeth Cash Curry/Cury. The other for Elizabeth Cash Stewart.... I'll research more and let you know what I find and whose date belongs with whom.

Elisabeth Cash Stewart
The death date you have (and did I) for Elizabeth Cash Stewart actually belongs to Elizabeth Stewart-Cury, wife of James Cury of Rowley Mass.

Elizabeth Cash Stewart
I think you have the two wives of James Stewart intermingled. James Stewart married 1st Elisabeth Johnson whom he married in 1688. She was the mother of his 11 children and died in 1712/1713. In 1714 James Stewart married Elisabeth Cash and she died in 1732. In 25 Nov 1733, James married 3rd Sarah Prince. When Elisabeth Cash married James Stewart she would have been about 44 years old, but I do not know if she was a spinster or a widow.

Duplicate Memorial for Ann Bird Ireland

First, thanks for the good work that you do with Find A Grave.

Second, I am new and easily confused, but I believe Ann Bird Ireland has a duplicate memorial dated after yours. It is # 114396962 and shows as an extra sibling on "your" Ann Bird Ireland memorial # 51774779. Just thought you should know.

Levi MOORE and Parnell PARKER Moore
Hello Ed,

Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into finding all this information!
I would like to address Levi Moor(e) dob 1759 and his wife Parnell dob 1763.
In researching them, I have come across another user, Leon Christoforo, and his memorials #122940589 and #123035909.
It would appear that you both might have memorials for the same people, with the missing information that each of are looking for. Hopefully the two of you can get in touch and see if these are the same people. Thank you again!
