I have been doing genealogy research on my family (Cocker, Maier, Peak & Sayers) for 30 years or so - mostly from Philadelphia. Within the past few years I have also been working on identifying and photographing the burial locations of Delaware Civil War veterans, Delaware Spanish American War veterans, and US Colored Troops (Civil War) veterans who were from Delaware. With this info I am helping to populate on-line databases. I am also a member of The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, Delaware Genealogical Society, Delaware Historical Society, and the Board of Directors of Friends of Historic Riverview Cemetery (Wilmington).|
If you note any errors in any of my listings, please feel free to contact me. Also, I will be happy to transfer any of the memorial pages that I created, just let me know. Any of the photos that I have added to Find A Grave may be used for genealogical purposes.

Might be of interest that in the plot next to James is Maggie Webster-Sayers the first wife of James' son Bernard. Bernard and Maggie's daughter Margaret is most likely buried with her mother. Maggie and Margaret died in 1913.

FYI: The reason there were some duplicate memorial for the Bucktoe Cemetery is that the original cemetery name & location did not reflect the current cemetery name (and location), so it did not show up in a search for that cemetery.
Later, those two cemetery entries were recognized as being the same and request was made to consolidate them. That took a while.
Most of the duplicates have been resolved (though not all the GPS coordinates added...)

Thank you for taking the time to relay all the information for the Porter lots and adding the photos of their grave markers, Greatly appreciated.
|Rebecca Osmond Hold||RE: Jesse Osmond|
Thanks so much, Ted. I didn't know about these three . I will do some research on them.
I appreciate this very much.
|Rebecca Osmond Hold||Jesse Osmond|
Dear Mr. Cocker,
Thank you so very much for trying to locate the grave of Jesse and take a picture. It saddens me so much that he doesn't have a marker. The Osmond family returned to Pennsylvania after living in Georgia and prospering with their factory building railroad cars, etc. After the Civil War, they were devastated and moved back and I guess their was no money for a marker.

Thank you very much for checking into his gravestone, and letting me know that there wasn't one.

Hi Tedd, Thank you very much for the photos of Florence, Samuel and Helen Faulkner's Graves. Your time and effort are very much appreciated. May I use the photos in my family trees, of course, giving you photo credit? Phyllis
