I was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana until 1973 when I moved to Arizona. I've been married for 42 years, have three children and five grandchildren. Growing up I was always interested in family history and stories. Once I retired nine years ago and had more time, I seriously started looking into my family genealogy. Now, every trip we take is a "genealogy trip", my husband and I love to walk old cemeteries, document with pictures of our loved ones, and spend long hours in dusty old Courthouse record rooms. The surnames that I research are Spangler/Spengler, Bonge, Truax, Troup, Tinsley, Clevenger, Estes, Thomason, Coffman, Jackson, Culpepper, and Singletary on my side. And, Davis, Behm, Braun, Nelles, Schommer, Stenglein and Evers on my husband's side. I would love to hear from any long lost relatives out there.Please feel free to let me know if any information I have entered is wrong, I'm happy to make any corrections or make additions.|

|jim gillis||Claude Cecil Reed|
Okay, I found my proof. The marriage record of Claude and Crevia states his parents were Rufus Reed and Hester F Harlan. I did have her as one of Rufus Reed spouses. I also found out they must have divorced and she died many years after he did and he was married 3 times. I thought Claude's mother was Mattie when it was not because on both of his other two stepmothers the obituaries read "stepson". I sent an edit to link both his parents.

There seems to be a lot of errors while trying to locate the descendants of Rufus and Mattie (Holman) Reed's only son - Claude Reed. Apparently you don't know anything about Claude Cecil Reed's parents (he was the spouse of Crevia Anna Spangler). Anyway, his father has to be Rev Rufus Reed and mother is Mattie Holman Reed. They are buried in Adams Cemetery in Jessup, Parke, Indiana. Also, the fact that Claude named his son Rufus Edward Reed, probably after both his father and probably Crevia's father Edward Spangler. If you can confirm Claude Reed's parents please let me hear from you. Do you know if Claude and Crevia's child Mary Frances Goble is still living? I visit Adams Cemetery ever year 3 or 4 times. My 3rd great-grandfather started it. It is a family cemetery. There are several family trees with the right Claude and Crevia (Spangler) Reed but conflicting birth or death dates and locations and maybe even parents or children. But I have seen his spouse (Claude) as Crevia Spangler.

I added a family photo to the memorial's of Michael and Annie Collins Nece. A flower you left says you are family so I thought you would like to know. The caption lists the source. You might have the original passed down to you, but just in case - enjoy!

What is your oldest Stenglein ancestor?
I have done research on all the old families, collecting census records from 1860 to 1930 and a little of 1940.
I need you to gather and add photos on all your ancestors. They are not my immediate family.
Maude Stenglein married Albert Weber. Their dau is my Aunt Gladys who married mom's brother Bob.
I grew up in Rogers, Dad was from Dayton, Mom was from Albertville. So, as the old large families intermarried, I collected over a 1,000 first and second cousins.
My work was necessarily expanded to all of Albertville, St. Michael, Rogers, Otsego, Dayton, Hassan and all the surrounding towns.
From my extensive research library of sourced material in my database, I will gladly share anything.
|John Carroll||George Leonard Knight|
Hi Teresa, I am interested in knowing more about George Leonard Knight. His mother, Constance "Connie" Carroll was my first cousin that I never met. My father, also John W Carroll, was born in 1898 in Atchinson, Kansas and his mother died shortly after his birth. My grandfather left the baby with his parents, and went on to remarry five years later and had 12 more children, one of whom was Joseph Carroll, George's grandfather. My dad remained mostly separated from his half siblings and I have only recently discovered where some of them are. I noticed from your note on his memorial that you must know George personally and was just curious about him. Thanks, John W Carroll.

I see some one asked if you got pictures in Missouri of the headstones of David and Susan.
I think we have talked before but my PC went DOWN and I lost a lot of info.
I have a person that is trying to get the pictures for me but needs a road that the cemetery is off of. They have looked but unable to find it with the info they had.
Do you have any info on the real location?????
PLEASE let me know as this is the first person that I have found that is willing to try and get the pictures.
Thanks Jerry Coffman
The Truax's are my family as well. Majority of thr memorials I have are my relation. It seems we are related. I am related to the Culpepper's and have lots of info on them. My 4th Great Gram is a Culpepper
