Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in northwest Iowa and am a retired journalism/English teacher. My husband and I enjoy walking cemeteries and finding gravestones, wondering about the life of the person buried there. We are glad to help others learn about their family history.

Genealogy fits my personality... combining a love of research, computer, writing, photography, and family.

I have enjoyed meeting other individuals and chatting about their pursuit of their ancestors' information. Although one can never truly "finish" researching a family line, I set a deadline of July each summer to "finish" one family line and enter it in the local county fair. I have won Best of Show the past seven years and in doing so, have been able to reach out to others and help them learn how to start searching for their own ancestors.

Hi, you took some photos of her grave stone for me and I was wondering if you had any close ups of the few stones in front of the main family stone?

You took a picture of her family stone showing some more stones in front, but I can't read who they are.

I appreciate you taking the photos that you did. I'm hoping maybe the ones in the front might give me some more information on this family.

Thank you again for taking the photos that you did!

Have a great day!

RE: Hazel Bell Dyslin Sturgeon
Hello Ann,
Thank you for getting back to me. If you are willing, yes, I would like management of Hazel's memorial transferred to me. I have not transferred a memorial before, but I think it is done from the link above the photos. I am not sure how many steps it entails. If you need my number, it is: 49153719.
Thank you!

Hazel Bell Dyslin Sturgeon
Hello Ann,
Hazel Sturgeonís memorial shows that you created the memorial. I am the granddaughter of Hazelís sister, Eugenia. Would you be willing to add Hazel's parents: Lewis Henry Dyslin, Memorial 100427917, and May Alida Farr Dyslin, memorial #100427877 so that Eugeniaís siblings will show on the memorial page?
Thank you,

Ann, Thank you so much for taking the time to find my Great-Great Grandfather's headstone! I appreciate your efforts, as I have also walked our local cemeteries and entered photos. But, it does get in your blood and I enjoy it. Again, thank you!!! Now...may I ask to use your photo in my family tree, with all credit going to you, of course.

Joseph Clyde Byerly & Edith E Polston Streed
Ann, Mrs. Byerly, (who remarried and became Mrs. Streed) has passed away. Would you be so kind as to add the shared stone photo to her findagrave memorial? Lots of work to be done there, and hard to tell when they'll next be censused.

Her memorial number is 140830035.

His is 65529958.

Thanks much!
