Bio Photo I give permission to use any picture I have taken for Find a Grave for use for other programs, websites or genealogical purposes. After all..that's why we take the pictures, so people can use them for their families.

I have been working on finding my dead relatives and irritating the living ones for over 30 years. Now that I have retired I even have time to spend on new discoveries. I also enjoy going out to local cemeteries to fill photo requests. If I create a page which you would like to manage and it is not my family, just let me know and I will usually be happy to transfer it to you.

Re: Hertl/Gruber gravesites
You wrote, "I do have a question on Frank Gruber (1916-1963) the son of Frank and Louise. You have him as being buried in Queen of Heaven. Are you sure?"

That's what his obituary says. However, it is possible that after the obit was published his wife decided to bury him in the same cemetery as his father.

For Frank Gruber the faher, there are 2 in St. Joseph that were born in 1889, with one that died in 1938, the other in 1940. Mary (Knaus) Gruber/Hertl was a widow in the 1940 census, so I lean towards the first as being the correct husband, but I don't have proof.

Youu wrote, "There is a page for a Frank Gruber in St Joseph in section MM but it does not have matching dates of death for Frank the son." If you mean 1921-2005 (dates from the stone), he is not the son. A photo shows his wife as being Gisela, which doesn't match the obit.

Thank you for your efforts! The Knaus family was from the Bavarian Forest, and I have been researching persons from that area who emigrated to the US. (See Louise's sister Rose, #156650531.)

RE: St Joseph Cemetery-Mach crypts
Mary,
I am so, very sorry, I need to,remove the requests for them. I,spoke with someone at the cemetery who snapped the photo for me. I was so excited that he did it for me that I forgot that I had those photo requests still out there. Thank you for bringing it to my attention and sorry for the confusion.

RE: St Joseph Cemetery-DeTomaso gravesites
Thank you so much!

Did you happen to snap a photo of Marie's stone? I just set up a memorial for her (#177719541).

Also, if you are in the vicinity of Calvary Cemetery in Evanston, IL, their father, Nicholas De Tomaso is buried there.

(I use that spelling for Nicholas because it's spelled that way on his death certificate. His surname (and given name) were not consistent throughout his life.)

He is buried at:

Lot 208, Block 33, Section T

Thanks once again!!

thank you for taking the picture of Stella Kwasinski's tombstone. I added a memorial for Peter. I am glad to know his name. I always knew him as Mr. Kwasinski. Thanks again
