|Bio and Links|
I discovered Find a Grave while researching family history with my husband Todd Stone. It has been interesting and rewarding, something we can do together. I love that I can connect and in a sense bring together family members who have been separated by distance and time.As well as my own extended family,(see Virtual cemetery info) I am working on the Strathmore Cemetery, have taken photos of all headstones as of 2012 (updated Sept 2014), and am trying to add as many bios and link as many family members as I can. Have started on the Gleichen, Beiseker, Irricana and Hanna, AB cemeteries.|
I thank all the volunteers who have helped me with information, pictures and transfers regarding my family. If I can be of help to someone, let me know and I will do my best.

Thank you so much for transcribing Hanna Cemetery and photographing the stones, particularly the Hanna family. Ellen Churchill Hannah is my 1st cousin 3x removed - her mother Margaret McVety Churchill was younger sister of my 2-gt-grandpa. I only knew of Ellen's first 4 children, so the rest are a real bonus, particularly as I live in Ontario and would never get to a small town in Alberta.

Hello, Thank you for the information you have posted about Henry Adolph, who is my Great Grandfather. I see you have much more info about his family posted as well, could you tell me where you found this info?

Thank you, again, for the transfers. I already have their dates, places, and all of them linked to their parents. Now all I have to do is write the details. A few of them were married, and I know where one of the married ones lived, but I'm going to have to track the other two or so.

Thank you for the transfer of Katharine's memorial, and for the compliment.
I do try to represent everyone as they were, which sometimes means doing a lot of research outside of the names, dates and places. My whole thing is telling stories, bringing people to life again. I think that's what memorials should do.
Many of Katharine's kids didn't have much of a life, as far as I've been able to tell, but in doing some concentrated research, I might find more than immediately meets the eye.
I just can't get over the outstanding photos you got of the kids' headstones. Again, thank you.
|Alison||RE: E Robarts|
The Alberta Genealogical Society has Edward Gabel Robarts buried 27 Oct 1934 aged 65y 9m
E 0271 0001
They have an E Robarts also in M P buried JUL/31/1935 but no plot #. Perhaps they transcribed an old version of the city cemetery list.
I am hoping to get to the cemetery tomorrow so will take a look and if possible a photo for you.
There are many many errors in the Edmonton Cemeteries list, names dates but most of the time the plot # is right, though sometimes they give 2 different plot #s for the same person!
Hope this helps

I just noticed today after checking my entry on my grandmother, you already had posted or created a memorial to the Cemetery.
Gunn, Stenhouse & Duncan are all related to me .
