I've been doing genealogy for more years than I care to remember and all of my family knows that it has become an obsession. I love doing the research and finding new relatives. But I am not just a name collector I like to know if the person is related even if it is only distantly. My niece Jan Bean is helping me to add family members to this website. I really appreciate all of her help and support. I have added memorials that are not related and I am happy to do transfers of memorials that are not part of my family. PLEASE DO NOT ADD EXTRA HEADSTONE PHOTOS OR PHOTOS OF CERTIFICATES to my memorials, this leaves room for photos of the deceased within the five-photo limit on unsponsored memorials. DON'T JUST TAKE MY PERSONAL PICTURES OF PEOPLE, PLEASE ASK PERMISSION.|

You are welcome. No Ma'am, I looked for one but there isn't one showing. Here is where I got it. It is the fourth one down the list:
I assume it was in the Hickory Daily Record, but can't find proof of it.

Have a question about this memorial
In the obit it said Rutherford Cemetery in Concord NC but you have it in Rutherford Cem. in Rutherford Co NC. Clark Funeral Home is an African American Funeral Home as so is Rutherford Cemetery in Concord I know that there is a Moose buried in Campground Cem. in Concord who is African American because I knew him. Can you please clear this up for me

You are so welcome! I've been hanging out in Stanly County for a few months while my daughter is competing in track… the meets are in Stanly! Gives me good hunting time! I'll get up to Salisbury soon.. more likely during the summer when she's out of school! I'll let you know what I find out on Zeb Byers as soon as I get there! Take care and blessings to you! Dana

Hi Sharon! Hope you've been well! I stopped by St. James's cemetery the other day to locate Mrs. Foil's marker for you… there's not been a footstone like her husband's added yet. Actually there's very little room to do so the way the plot is situated. But the family may find a way. If it's okay with you .. I'll add the photo that I have showing her burial plot and marker. I'll keep and eye out and see if they add a footstone and let you know. She was a teacher when I was in school… everyone loved her! Take care! Dana

I saw your photo requests for these two at Pine Hill Cemetery and after many months of looing, I came across the city cemetery's search website and don't find these two listed based on last name and death date. If you have other records indicating burial here, you may wish to contact the cemetery for a burial location. After looking, would it be appropriate for you to list the burial as unknown? Whatever you think is appropriate. Best regards.

I have added a copy of his obit to the listing. I found it in a stack of newspaper clippings that I got from an aunt who helped clean out a house in Columbia, Tn.

Article I happen to have --
Jesse Riggs -one of the oldest settlers of the county, died at his home southwest of BERWICK January 12, 1891, the result of injuries received about a week before. While he was helping drive several colts into the barn at his place one of them struck him and knocked him down on the frozen ground. Three of his ribs were broken, and the lining of his lungs was pierced by one of the bones. He was eighty-three years old and did not possess the strength to recover. His burial was in the cemetery at BERWICK.
Just thought if you didn't have this you might be interested in it.
