Although an Asheville native, my genealogical bases are Yancey, Mitchell and Iredell Counties. Surnames closely related to me are Vickery, Morrison, Bradshaw, Stevenson, Gibson and Bagwell.

I will never create a grave for anyone about whom I know nothing; if I do not have any information other than two dates I leave creation of the memorial to someone who hopefully does have it. These people deserve more on their memorials than just dates, no matter how large the cemetery!

Those who transcribe whole cemeteries without even bothering to use dates, just to boost their numbers, should be banned from the site, in my opinion. With the resources of the Internet now available, there is no excuse for such.

However, I am happy to transfer graves of any persons who are not related to me, to anyone who is related to the deceased. That said, please do not abuse this. Thanks.

PLEASE NOTE: We can NOT link parents to children! That is, we have to link children UP to parents, not link parents DOWN to children. It's just the way the site works. Please do not contact me about adding children to the parents' graves. I can't. Instead - contact the creators of the chidren's graves and ask them to link the kids UP to the parents - it is the only way to do this.

Kindly refrain from post death certs on my memorials. Photos are great, however.
