Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family's genealogy for thirty one years. I got interested in genealogy shortly after my dad died in 1983. The names I am researching are: Hartley, Bennett, Bramble, Thomas, Fouts, Sweazea, Pace and Conner.

Peter Woodard in Essex Cemetery in Newton County
Peter Woodward
b. 1767

I went to the cemetery and search through out and there is not a tombstone with Peter Woodard. There are several graves marked with plain rocks with no names on them so one of those might be his grave.

RE: Margaret Harbridge Conner
John, went to a Conner family reunion the first week in August. I'm working on the who was Mary thing. What I was told is that she was born in the Drummond Castle in Scotland. Evidently her mother had a "fling" with some Earl. The Conner historian is elderly and I'm hoping to get a copy of a tape that he created when he had gone over and did the research! Will let you know as I get more info! Jan

RE: Margaret Harbridge Conner
John, there was a Conner family reunion about two weeks ago. The "family historian" has been to Scotland and has/had all sorts of information, I am looking into it. Unfortunately the man is in his 90s but his memory is failing him. I will keep your message on my "board" and let you know what I find. Jan

James M. Thomas 1902 - 1979
I misspoke: Ada Thomas Cooper a sister of James M. is not buried in the Thomas Cemetery. She is in Shiloh Cemetery, Randolph Co. AR. She and James are the only ones of the 10 children not buried in the Thomas Cemetery.

James M. Thomas 1902 - 1979
James M. Thomas is my father and he is not buried in the Thomas Cemetery. He is buried with my mother in the Randolph Memorial Garden Cemetery, Randolph Co., Pocahontas AR. He is the only one of this family not in the Thomas Cemetery.

RE: Ron Scholz's Grave
Im glad it worked out that way. I have a relative that passed away, and her stone had her name and birth date on it for years before she passed away, she passed and her children never had her death date added to the stone. It can be hard to find living simi distant relatives, I have been on anc for a few years gathering info, in hopes of finding just one relative that has pictures and or knew some that passed, before I started my hunting. I have to try and stay calm,as I get a little frantic, due to the ages of some of these Im looking for. Seems some just drag their feet, when hunting, time is the enemy.stay strong

RE: Catharine Hartley
Hello John,

I am unable to read the small inscription at the bottom of the tombstone. I visited this cemetery Sunday afternoon while driving from Bloomington, IN to Springfield, IL. I took some photos as I often do when I find an interesting cemetery to see if many of the grave stones have already been photographed or not. I will try to visit this cemetery again soon to take many more photos. I will visit this grave stone again and see if that small inscription can be read from the actual stone.

My best,

RE: Margaret Harbridge Conner John, if you read this link, it appears there are TWO different John Conners and I am not sure which one you are related to. Jan
