Native of Knox County, Illinois. Resident of Henry County, Illinois. Seasoned genealogist. I love visiting cemeteries and taking photographs when time allows. I try to keep my eye out for local photo requests. I try to focus on the local cemeteries in my area that have not yet been photographed and also visit random cemeteries when I travel. |
Please note that in mid 2016 I had some memorials transferred to me that may contain links to online family trees. I am trying to remove the links as they are against FAG rules. If you happen to spot one please send a kind edit to bring it to my attention.
Before requesting a transfer please aqquaint yourself with the guidlines.
Many people request well outside the guidelines. You do not need to request a transfer to add information, that can be done via the EDIT option. There seems to be a growing trend of people who have joined FAG and are not contributing by making any additional memorials but only requesting transfers of any relative's memorials they find here.
I always respond to edit suggestions sent via the EDIT tab. I will only refuse the suggestion if I am personally aware that incorrect info is being suggested. I will add pertinent condensed info from an obituary but I will usually omit the names of currently living listed therein.

Hi Patti! I do remember you! Thanks for setting this up for Grandma. :)
My sister, Sarah does quite a bit of ancestry stuff but I do some as well and just came across this website.
How is everything going with you?

Hi! I just wanted to thank you for submitting the beautiful photo of the marker for my great-grandpa Gustaf Norquist's first wife, Maggie.

Holy Cow! I was in the wrong section...the office girl never told me that there were two lot 146's!Here is my email: firstname.lastname@example.org. I would be so glad to see the map you mentioned. I have one but not sure how good it is. Thank you so much!

It is with great interest that I see you have posted a photo of Clark Morton's headstone at Wethersfield Cemetery in Kewanee, IL! I can't tell you how excited I am. I descend from him and a few years (maybe 4-5?)back I was told by the Wethersfield Cemetery office that he was lot 146, space 4 but that there was no stone. She told me approximately where in the cemetery that lot was so I went searching and found no stone. I must have been given wrong information or was simply blind as a bat. I see you added the photo in January? I guess what I am asking is do you have a general description you can give me of where within that cemetery you found the stone? Thank you for all you do! Donna

Thanks for adding his parents and for doing it so quickly! I appreciate it.
|Jeanne Muetzel||RE: RE:Breckinridge/Brackenridge|
that's William Breckenridge's father and mother. Unfortunately both are also named William and Jane. Her maiden name was Anderson while the one we have been discussing had a maiden name of Wallace. The first William and Jane immigrated from Scotland in approx. 1773.
|Jeanne Muetzel||RE: Rebecca Breckinridge|
Can you tell me what cemetery?
|Jeanne Muetzel||RE: Hugh Breckinridge|
I wasn't sure why there was the memorial only for "Breckenridge" with no information and showing the same headstone. From family history I do know Jane Wallace Breckenridge (William's wife)died on March 8, 1851 and was buried in Mt. Pleasant. Later a daughter, Rebecca, age 22, died on February 5th, 1855 and was buried next to her mother. Finally, in December 1865, William died and was buried next to Jane. So there are actually three Breckenridges there. Do you know if there are three headstones there? I assumed her name was on the headstone with his and most of it is unreadable. I am in Colorado so this would not be easy to verify myself. Do you recommend I create new memorials for Jane Breckenridge and her daughter?
