|Began working on my wife's line, Daniels & Vosburgs & then started working on my grandparents, Metcalf & Strong which has led to primarily Brumback, Wilson, Smith, Hughes, Pierson, Bullock, Simpson, Bowles on the Metcalf side & who knows next .... The Strong side has led me into Owsley & Breathitt Co's. & many last names there. Breathitt Co is where my 5th great's William & Jane "Callahan" Strong settled after coming from Va in 1801. I live in Northern Ky but try to visit cousins in Jackson Co (where I was born) & visit cemeteries of relatives. While there, we photo & collect info of all to try and preserve history. My cousin's grandson, Luke (16) uses my camera & takes the pics while we prep the stones. He's taken about 70% of the pics that's been taken in Jackson & Owsley Co's. Thanks Luke. Have branched out to my cousin's side's, (as we have all worked on this together) Johnston, Johnson, Boggs, Madden, Williams, Wilson & much more which have led me into Clay, Laurel, & other N Ky Co's & Franklin & Fayette Co's, Ind. Have also gone to cemeteries in Hamilton, Clermont, & Butler Co's, Ohio as all families have spread out. Also researching Gaines on my great-aunts side.|
Up-dated July 2015
12-2014. I've been working on the Asbury Methodist Church Cem, Campbell Co, Ky for the last four months, (I attend this church), because the cemetery records were lost. I've finished as much as I can find & have put a copy in the church office.

Prewitt Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Montgomery Co., KY. Thank you, Don, for your response to my photo request. A headstone was the actual request, but your time and dedication is truly appreciated.

You are welcome; I am happy to help.
I think I was a classmate of your brother's in 1964.

Don: My apologies for taking so long to respond. anted to check with some contacts in Owsley county to confirm which cemetery would be more correct for Ruby. The problem with KY (and probably other rural) cemeteries is that they get called by different names at different times and by different groups even though they refer to the same place. As the two you indicate seemed to be separate, I was able to confirm they are different (only about .5 mile apart) and Ruby was in Peters & Burch. I have removed my memorial.

Oh my goodness!! Thank you for your help! Ruth and Attie Blevins are my aunts, my Dad's sisters...and I know they are in Brutus. We have been there, first to visit Aunt Attie's gravesight and again in 2004, to bury Aunt Ruthie. Thank you so much, Marilyn

Thanks...Lois Bowels Powell's obit says it is called the Berry Bowles Cemetery...and one of the obits says it's located on Lodge Hall Road. If James Randall is not in that cemetery, then there must be two located at Sand Gap. Please let me know what you find out. Thanks Again.

Yes, I think they have somewhere in the "rules" something about letting them know if emails bounce or someone can't be contacted. Then they take over the memorial. They can probably "merge" those dups so the info isn't lost if you ask them. I think there are instructions in there, as well. You have so much information it would be a shame to lose. Thanks very much.
Thanks Don! I'm in the process now of linking and adding info. for all of them.

That is wonderful and thank you again! I will get out my Lesley/Leslie book and see what it says in relation to all of the JP clan. It's kind of a project of mine to see how many from the book I can find and link together. The book actually has who married whom and frequently the year and the children from that union. It's a big book so it will definitely be a long-term project! I don't know any of the Kentucky kinfolk because my great-grandmother Mintie McGuire Marshall moved to Oklahoma in 1909 with her husband and family and that's where my closest relatives hail from. My great aunt Margie Marshall Monahan was in touch with the Kentucky clan and I know my grandparents (Luther and Angie Marshall Hartman) traveled to Kentucky fairly regularly to see the family.

Again, thanks so much for all of your hard work! The McGuire family is in my direct line if you would like to pass those over to me. My paternal great grandmother is Mintie McGuire Marshall and I knew her fairly well. She lived until I was 16 years old and we visited her and Grandad Marshall frequently until their deaths.
