|Jay||Mary Ellison 1817-1825|
A transcript by Jackie Couture, located in the Eastern Kentucky University Special Collections and Archives, Richmond, KY, lists burials in Ellison Cemetery on Truman Turner Farm at Speedwell. It is the James Ellison family cemetery. Included is Mary Ellison 10 Feb. 1817 - 16 Oct. 1825.
To the findagrave.com memorial 50027817, for the above, you posted two gravestone pictures.
Who was this Mary Ellison? Did you attempt to read the stone's inscription? I would be interested in your reading.
Was this stone actually in the cemetery with the James Ellison family or was it in the Joseph Ellison cemetery? The dates differ but are in part similar to dates for a different Ellison.
Hope this finds you well. I would welcome hearing from you again.

First, thank you for the photo for the above memorial. Secondly, I was wondering if you are able to decipher the dates from the above headstone? I'm trying to close some loose ends and would love to know all the dates on the headstone:)

It has been suggested to me that this cemetery was once known as Goodwin's Chapel! Since you are from this area and are a great historian, is there any proof? I guess this is were you and I are related as one of my ancestors was buried at Goodwin's Chapel, John Daye. I have heard the cemetery was taken over by progress and a highway now runs through that area. Myself and others, such as Roger Hicks and Alan Barber,would like to learn the truth. Thanks for any information you may have regarding these cemeteries.

Thanks for the great work on a good chunk of many of my relatives out in KY! Thanks too, for transferring those family members closest to our Tree's branch. They will be managed well by family!

Hi I was hoping you could update a profile of my GGG grandmother, her memorial # is 16447045.
Per Bess Miller Rose - her grandmother Laura Effie (Wilson) Rose passed down the story of how Fannie died. There was a fire on July 10, 1877 at their home. A bucket brigade was formed to fight the fire from a nearby creek. When the fire was out Fannie was missing, she was found face down in the creek and drowned. It is unknown why she lost consciousnesses but she was pregnant with her 16th child.
She had beautiful, long, red hair, a trait of many other Swangos and Roses.

|Jean Muetzel||Brown Cemetery|
I am the Registrar for Cincinnati Chapter DAR and we are trying to help a prospective member with membership.
Is it possible to get tombstone photos from the Brown Cemetery of ? :
Samuel Washington Brown (1819-1888)
his wife Cynthia Ann Nickell (1820-1880)
His son Harvey Burns Brown (1858-1940) and
his wife Sarah May (1862/65- 1918)
Did the birth and death dates for Samuel and Cynthia come from the tombstone?
|Beverly Smith||Isaac Mize II|
With your permission may I suggest you add "he was the son of Isaac Sr. and Elizabeth(Massey) of KY and that he had at least 10 siblings."
