Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love family history and connecting with other amateur genealogists. I live in northwest Nebraska. I'm researching Turner, Fairchild, Mahan, Waters, Pollard, Stockman, Woodruff, Kellogg, Kelly, McCall, Gunderson, Harnett, Spurway, Woodbeck, Squires, Kuk, and Greene, to name a few.

I love old photographs and think they really enhance each memorial. If I add a photo to one of your memorials and you would like it removed, please let me know and I'll delete it. Feel free to use any photos I add in any way you wish.

I believe that a relative's memorial should be with family, not with strangers. I believe that these memorials need to be with people who knew and loved them.

Please use the "edit" button on the memorial when you are requesting a transfer or sending corrections.

I am interested in the Curtis Cemetery, Merriman,
Cherry County, Nebraska. Can you provide a resource as to where the list of those who are buried there is located? Thanks!

Pfc John Muir, 163802473
I stumbled upon a memorial you made for my 2nd great uncle, John Muir, 163802473. You included a photo of him that I have never seen, thank you so much for that. John got married and moved to Michigan where he died in 1982. There is a memorial page for him there. It's 25711834. May I use his photo for my profile?

Thanks Again,

RE: Hazel Olson, memorial No. 109630681
I was also confused. My wife and I are photographing the markers at the Craig Cemetery by lot numbers. Something we do in our retirement. I have a copy of the Craig Cemetery Registry which shows a Hazel Olsen DOB 1915, DOD 1990 in Plot 159 and took a photo of the marker. We were at the cemetery again today and took another 200 photos. We verified the lot number. The only other Olson listed on the directory is Fred but he is in plot 341. I Hazel in the 1940 census with Arthur E Olson in Burt County NE. Arthur is 45, Hazel is 24 and they have two children, Arthur age 6 and Adena age 4 1/2. Adena is listed as her daughter born in 1939 which means if Hazel was born in 1885, she would've been 54 when she had Adena. I found John David Mumm (Hazel's father) in the 1930 census in Burt County NE. He is 46 and has several children shown, one of whom is Hazel age 12.I didn't mention that my wife is a genealogist. We checked and found the census information. Let me know what you think, this is not part of our family, just wanting to help others with their ancestor search and like you, want the info to be accurate. I can email you copies if you like. my email is We are local, live in Omaha.

SGM Patrick McGaheran
I was just checking to see where this information is from. I believe it is my great uncle Patrick who was killed in France on June 26, 1918. He was a Sgt in Co H 28 Inf. I believe his body was returned and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY. Any additional information you may have would be appreciated.

Thank You,

I am sorry I do not know where I got his death date. It was probably from when I was an active member. Another possibility might be from the Fairview cemetery info from the city of Rushville.

Pfisterer Memorial Photos
Thank you so much for photographing Fred and Josephine Pfisterer's memorials. It means a lot to the many ancestors they left behind.
