Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, my husband (Steve Patterson) and I are interested in our genealogy histories and enjoy the "detective process" of finding our ancestors. After unexpectedly finding images of my great-grandparents' tombstones on the web, I was thrilled - I'd never seen their tombstones before. This helped us to realize that documenting cemeteries on the web is a wonderful way to help other genealogists find their relatives. We enjoy this tremendously and have started planning our vacations around which cemeteries we want to visit.

I am leaning on the tombstone of Alpheus Osborn, my great-great-great grandfather who lived in Fairfax, Iowa.

If you are a close relation to any people that we have listed and would like us to transfer the memorial to you, please let us know. Be sure to include the CEMETERY NAME where they are located and your FAG MEMBERSHIP NUMBER!

Family names that we are interested in are:
Missouri, Polk County: McDaniel, Phipps.
Kansas, Cowley, Sedgwick, Sumner Counties: Kessinger, Cooper, Green, Brenton, Wilsey, Osborn.
Kansas, Rice County: Greenbank, Crawford, Wilsey.

Abraham J. Endsley
Dear Cathy,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to documentation, Abraham J. Endsley was a member of this unit. This is confirmed by his gravestone.

I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with my project, but I want to eventually publish something. So, with your permission, I would like to use your photograph of the grave of Abraham J. Endsley (Find A Grave Memorial# 33500828). Please let me know if this would be acceptable.

Thank you, I appreciate your time.

With warm regards,

Bryan Anderson

Dear Cathy:

Thank you so much for entering this family member into Find-A-Grave! I appreciate the memorial site you've created, and I would like to maintain it if possible. Would you please transfer management of Martha's site to me? As you can see, I've already sponsored her memorial, and I would love to go further.

Thank you for your consideration.

Kind regards,

genealogygirl #48466168

Richard Squire Denniss 1852-1939
Hi Cathy,

Greetings from England! I've just come across your photo of the grave of Richard Squire Denniss, 1852-1939, which you've shown as being in Mizpah Cemetery, Platteville, Weld County, CO. The plot reference is Row 7, Lot 65, Space 6.

Do you have any background on this person? I have a 3x great grandfather named William Denniss, who married a Frances Squire. There are many descendants in the Denniss family who all used the middle name "Squire", including a family who I believe emigrated to the USA in about 1872/3. If you have any information it would be great to hear from you.

Kind regards, Jane

Earl O. Robbins #30533354
Hi Cathy - In doing a little sleuthing for my friend I ran across this marker and found an answer we had been looking for. I believe you will find that this headstone is for two people.
Orville Robbins 1826-1896 (father of)
Earl Orville Robbins 1853-1888
Which would explain the 35 year old described on the stone with birth and death dates of 70 year old!
Let me know if you need more information. Thank you for posting this - you helped us solve a mystery.
