Cemetery Location
The reason for the requests to move memorials from East View to Westminster Memorial Park is the cemeteries were intended to be separate, so I have been identifying which ones in East View actually belong in WMP. Thanks!

RE: Greenville Memorial Gardens
Just curious, if you remember.. On this link to google maps.. https://goo.gl/maps/gYonMqPm7N22

Is the pinned section there the one that you never got to? I'm 2 or 3 rows from having it completed, and.. It was very, very incomplete. I think I added close to 700 records from it. I *THINK* that's section N, but not positive.

The mausoleum, I haven't finished, but it's very well done it seems.. Just kinda trying to figure out the areas that perhaps I should focus on to start with, those being the areas that were not covered.

I'll get to all of them as no doubt since you last did them there's more people interred that may not have been logged, etc. Just trying to determine a game plan.

I ran into 3 couples there over the weekend that I helped find grave locations.. The management of that place.. I despise them. Totally unhelpful to families.

RE: Greenville Memorial Gardens
Oh, that should be fun. Not sure how to react if that happens. On one hand, I totally understand where they would be coming from. On the other, kinda depends on how they approach. More flies with honey situation.

I added over 300 last weekend, and that was even with changing my method. The app was horrendous Saturday.. So, on Sunday I just took photos with my camera, and added graves/gps only through the app.. Then uploaded the images when I got back home.

I prefer doing everything through the app, but.. I don't enjoy driving myself crazy, so..

the section that I started at, back by the Mortuary/Chapel, was not well documented. I'd guess that might have been around your stopping point.

Bad part is.. We're heading into the hot time of year. In spring, I can generally get out there at 11am and stay until 6 or 7pm.. Once the heat starts hitting.. I tend to break it into 2 times.. Go out from 9am to noon or so, then again from 5pm to 8pm.

But, regardless.. When I walk an entire cemetery, I often find that at least 20% are not documented. Greenhaven over in Woodruff, I finished it a few weeks ago and there were almost 1000 new additions.

RE: Greenville Memorial Gardens
It happens. Most of the duplicates.. I think I might have sent 3 or 4 over to you.. All of those were where you had a duplicate of your own, so.. I figured something went wrong during creation.

There were more, but none where you were the one with the dupe. People seem to react better when I give them some warning and explanation of what I'm doing. This is a cemetery that's been on my list to GPS tag every grave for a while because the people who run the cemetery are such dinks. Makes sense to verify and photo while i'm at it.

the only comment I'd have on your additions are I would assume you're adding through a spreadsheet, or did on this one, and I'd say watch for the nickname field. I try to correct those as I come across them. That, and there'll no doubt be a few where the last name doesn't match the marker due to second/third/etc marriages. Most everything else will be minor mis-spells or dates.

I will mention, too.. If you get out and walk and are close to this one.. I'd love help. That joint is just so big..

Greenville Memorial Gardens
Just wanted to drop you a line, as you seem to have a fairly large number of memorials at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

I'm attempting to do a complete, grave-by-grave walkthrough, photographing, verification and GPS tagging at that cemetery.

Often when I do this.. There wind up being a large number of edits. So, just wanted to give you a heads up, let you know what is going on and why you'd be seeing a possible large number of edits from me over the next few months.

Hi Karen and Buddy. Would you consider transferring Frankie Rhyne Chasteen Morris, Find A Grave#35880663 to me? We were best friends all through high school at Parker. Thanks! Sincerely, Barbara Loftis Martin

RE: Nancy M Bobo
It is not known with certainty where she was buried as there is no headstone at her grave. She is believed to be buried in the Bobo Cemetery at Reed Creek, where they lived.
