You have Elbert buried in Grand Island. I believe he died there but is buried in Palisade, NE. There are stones for him and his wife both in Palisade.
|Allen Brown||Ebenezer Doan / Abigail Doan|
I am a descendant of Elizabeth Dix Doan and wanted to provide the following information. She had four children by Ebenezar Doane. Nathan (1811 - ), George Washington Doan (1813 - 1883), Abigail Doan Brown (1820 - 1851), and Zachariah Doan.
I am descended from Abigail Doan, who married Hance Brown. She is also buried in White Lick Cemetery.
Here is the link, I believe, which provided the following information. Elizabeth Dix Doan would be the unknown second wife.
I also found an entry in "The Doane Family by A.A.Doane: https://archive.org/stream/doanefamily1deac00doan/doanefamily1deac00doan_djvu.txt which listed the four children of Elizabeth Dix and Ebenezar Doane. It includes Zachariah and has the birthdate for Nathan on January 15, 1811.
Elizabeth Dix's younger sister, Mary, was the first wife of Ephraim Doane, Ebeenezer's son. She died
Two infants were listed in the White Lick Cemetery for Hance and Abigail, they died on different days. The 1850 census lists a son named Wilson, who doesn't appear in later census records. I wonder if he was the son who died in July. Abby died March 21, 1851. The other infant son died in March 1851. I wonder if his death and Abby's occurred because of birth complications. I don't have any information from the family, but it seems possible.
Hance remarried in 1852 in Guilford, Hendricks County, Indiana, and later moved to Kansas. He and Malinda, his second wife, and their granddaughter, Ivy Edith are buried in the Garrett Cemetery in Harlan, Kansas. www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgipage=pv&GRid=41520866&PIpi=31631687

|Linda Mahan||Burns Family|
I discovered today that Mt. Zion Cemetery, Richland, Rush County, Indiana is erroneously listed on Find A Grave. There is no such cemetery in Richland. You have made memorials there for Eugene Burns #102228632; Phyllis Burns, #102228088; Steven Burns, 36201441. Steven's obit calls the cemetery "Mt. Zion", but should just read "Zion". The photo you have added for the cemetery is actually Zion Cemetery located in Raleigh. I hope you will consider moving these memorials to the correct location. Someone has also started a Zion Cemetery Raleigh. I have contacted them and asked that those 9 memorials also be moved to the correct cemetery. The Rush County Genealogical Society is trying very hard to transcribe and photograph all cemeteries in Rush County. Thank you for your help.
|Billy Yarbrough||Catherine Roland|
A memorial for Catherine 62468898 was created
