Bio Photo Hello fellow find-a-gravers,

Happy New Year to YOU! Praying God will, in 2017, bless you and yours, and me and mine, with a richer, deeper relationship with His Son, Jesus.

To request transfer, please do not post your request here in the comments section. I ask that all transfer requests be made through the official "suggest a correction" mechanism. Just go to the memorial, click "edit", then click the last option which lets you send a free form request. That sends me a link to the memorial, which helps ensure I process the correct one, and also sends me your member number so I don't have to go look it up. This saves me two or three steps, and helps me be accurate.

Excluding my own kin and special memorials, all of my memorials are up for grabs. If you are kin, you should have them imo. If no kin comes forward, then anyone who has a connection. Maybe you live next to the cemetery? Maybe you went to school with him/her? Maybe I have one of your old co-workers. You get it :) Just ask!

If you are also adopting out your memorials, I would happily adopt any of my main family surnames in the United States: Claussen, Crawford, Fox, Pennington, Petersen.

Thanks, and may God bless you immensely today!
Deb

This is the day the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! (and not spend the whole day working on findagrave! LOL )

Halie Maple
Please, can you tell me where you obtained Halie Maple's death date? You posted it on her father, Dade Johnson's memorial (53943386). Thank you.

Thank You!
You were so kind to transfer the Johnson's to me. You didn't have to, you know. You were taking good care of them and I thank you for doing so. Blessings!

Thanks to both you and Tami for making the correction on her Find A Grave site. It is really hard for you folks to make and keep up with all the problems we have. I too have connected wrong relatives.

RE: Martha Roberts
You do not have your email listed, so will attach a google map I edited for the four cemeteries to the memorial I transferred to you. Apologies for the rough edit, just did it. Don't know what Find A Grave policy on that type of photo is but if you did not want to leave it perhaps you could save it then delete it from the memorial. Maybe it would give a rough idea of the relation between the four locations of the cemeteries.

RE: Martha Roberts
If you have use the Macon County Cemetery listings that are are used as a source on Ancestry and were recorded by I believe someone named Elizabeth Prather Elsberry in the early or mid 1960's, she has most of the entries for East Oakwood incorrectly entered as being in Saint Charles.

RE: Martha Roberts
When I checked before I replyed could only find two memorials, perhaps did not look closely enough. Anyway there are only two after checking just now, one is mine and the other the 3rd that you sent the link to. One must be already deleted as you mentioned. Mine is the correct location. There are four cemeteries close to one another in Bevier. On the west side of the road are West Oakwood and Richards Dale. On the east side of the road are East Oakwood and Saint Charles, which are immediately adjacent to one another and are sometimes confused as East Oakwood used to have a sign that was gone and was just replaced last spring. East Oakwood has a short iron border fence next to the road that starts on the south end of the cemetery and extends to north only as far as where Saint Charles starts. If you stand next to the road and look straight east you can see the line of headstones where one cemetery ends and the other begins. I confirmed where the border line ran by looking at the burials in that line and found either obits or death certificates that told where the burials where. In the center of Saint Charles there is a driveway that loops through there that runs right along the border line part way where the border is. That would help one find which is which when visiting.

Martha E. (Jones) Roberts Burial Location
I just received your message about where she is buried. I have one memorial posted for her, #171137219 in East Oakwood Cemetery in Bevier. I personally took the photo in East Oakwood, so she is there, not in Richards Dale Cemetery # 62748743, that location is incorrect. I informed the other person of that. Have not hear back yet. Only see those two memorials not three, as I only have the one. Will go ahead and transfer mine to you as you are kin.

RE: Martha E. Jones Roberts.
I hope you are able to merge them on findagrave. I tried to find a way to leave info about them, but couldn't figure a way to do it.

I've deleted my record of the above in St. Charles Cemetery in Bevier, so at least that duplicate is gone.

I apologize for the information problem with your relatives grave. I went there to take some pictures of a relative of mine and took a few others too. I realized after putting a few on, the two cemeteries are so completely intertwined, I can't imagine the info ever getting cleared up. The two cemeteries, St. Charles and East Oakwood are right next to each other, with no way of telling when one ends and one begins. When looking on findagrave I even found a husband and wife shared stone, and the info shows one was buried in St. Charles and the other in East Oakwood. The grave of your relative is in this intertwined cemetery, so you walk thru, you will find her. You won't have any idea which of the two cemeteries you are in. I have no idea what the 3rd cemetery you are talking about, but there are 2 more cemeteries across the street from these two and they are also intertwined. Perhaps Norman Cross will be able to explain it better to you. I will not be taking any more pictures there unless for my own tree, as its too much of a mess to deal with.
