I've been one of my family's "historians" for over 10 years, researching our family trees, and I totally enjoy it. |
Taking photographs of headstones and submitting cemetery information is such vital work, because it helps people locate their loved ones. The headstone photograph helps to document it, since many times these precious artifacts are vandalized or damaged by weather and age. I find great joy in helping others find their family members.
I have been in process of transcribing all the cemeteries in Jim Wells County, TX since 2004. Every so often, I'll do some in San Patricio and Nueces Counties.
Please note that I photograph & transcribe entire cemeteries & do not catch duplicates until I'm ready to upload photos. So if you spot a duplicate, then click the "Edit" button at the memorial & let me know about it. Thanks!
Please click the "Edit" button at the memorial to notify me of any corrections, additions, adding relationship links or to request transfers. This process will work quicker & better than emailing me or leaving a message here
I love uniting the memorials I've created with their family.

|Maria Landers||Elsie Mae ward lyles|
Hi my name is Maria landers. My grandmother was Elsie Mae ward lyles . Her mother Daisy was my great grandmother. I was recently in mayo fl visiting my aunt mary lyles Thompson her mother was Elsie lyles. I was interested in the history of my grandmothers side of the family, since I only know what I've been told by other family member and would like to help update for those living and help to record those that have passed. It would be great to talk with you.
|Ernesto Duque||St Particks Cemetery|
My Mother's family was from town of San Patricio and although the cemetery does not seem to be in records I found the cemetery at St Patricks in San Patricio.
Do you have any experience with this cemetery?
I suspect that several of my relatives might be there.
Any info you might have would be appreciated?
Thanks, Ernesto Duque
|Tommy Neumann||Re: Lorine Agnes Gloor Beutnagel, Memorial # 18966314|
Good afternoon Charlie,
How are you doing? I constantly see memorials you have created when I'm researching my family and the family of my wife, and I appreciate your efforts. My wife's mother was Gladys Minnie Gloor DeReese, Memorial #18075456. One of Gladys' sisters, Lorine Agnes Gloor Beutnagel, is still living and doing well.
That's why I'm contacting you this afternoon. The memorial for Lorine seems to indicate that she was born in Lavaca County, Texas. She says that she was born outside of Yorktown, DeWitt County. Her birth certificate says that she was born in Yorktown, but in an "Amendment to Certificate of Birth" filed on August 21, 1970 by her mother, Mrs. Willie Gloor (Alma Schmidt Gloor), it says Lorine was actually born in "Rural, DeWitt County, Texas."
If you are willing to transfer Lorine's memorial to my maintenance, I would be grateful. I would even be more grateful for the transfer of my wife's father, Norman Willie DeReese, Memorial # 18075455.
FYI, I have previously tried to contact you by email, but without success; my emails have always been returned as not deliverable. Your email has been inactive since at least 2015. Do you have a current active email address? Sometimes I like to contact memorial creators privately as opposed to placing them as public messages for all to see.
Thank you for all you do for the Find a Grave site. It is gratefully appreciated.
