Please do not ask me to copy obituary notice to the record unless you are the author, since this would be in violation of one of the FAG policies. RE: Elizabeth Booth Allyn/Allen
Hi Marie - oh goodness - thank you for the transfers! You didn't have to do that, but I am appreciative and grateful. And will lovingly take care of them and add more family information. Thank you!

I am just waiting to hear from another desc to link a child to your older memorial, and then I will delete mine of Elizabeth.

Thanks so much Marie!

May I ask your opinion about the Hale Collectotion in the 1930s? Would the inscription be there because a stone was there? Probably a stone given for his military service. I do know from observation that the stone is not there now in Zion Hill. I plan to contact both cemetery associations.

RE: Samuel Allen Stones
Hi, Thanks for getting right back to me.

I came across the stone I mentioned and maybe you can take a look at it. One problem is that I can't read what's on the stone.

F/G memorial # 17891951. It's for Samuel Allen 1731-1759

The other stone, much like it is 17836781. It would seem to be for the father os 17891951, but they are not hooked up on Find-a-Grave.

For some reason, I wondered if that was right stone for Samuel Allen 1731-1759, Now I can't remember what I was thinking.

But anyway, would it make sense to hook up that son to the parents?

Then Sarah Allen Pasco could be hooked up to the parents, too. I guess some problems occurred from the alternate spellings of the name. (I don't know how fussy people were in those days about being consistent with the spellings of their last names. Can one go by the old records?) (P.S. Through Ancestry I recently communicated with Sarah Allen Pasco's descendant. Wendy)

In the case of both these Samuel Allens, are they descendants of Samuel Allen 1588-1648 of Windsor, CT? He's my ancestor, with his first son being my next ancestor and HIS first son Samuel being the next one down. THEN Joseph, then Rev Thomas, then Rev William, and after that it's all girls and name Allen disappears. Except for my Elizabeth's middle name! (she hated it) (just thought you might be curious. *I* am curious. I am not familiar with the CT Allens at all until just recently, doing this tree.)

RE: Two Elizabeth Booth Allens
That is good news!!

By the way, there's a memorial and a stone which is sort of broken - that reddish stone that has a design the same for more than one person, and don't remember what person it is for right now, but I have been wondering if the stone fits the person whose memorial it is. Do you know the one I mean?

It's an Allen, and it looks like the person it says it is is in the wrong generation. Sorry if this just confuses you. When I get back to it, I can write you again.

Zion Hill plot 566 is the Loveland plot with Edward's wife's mother, father, teenage brother and step brother buried there. I found them there years ago, then later you transferred the memorials. The couple may have intended to be buried in Zion Hill, but then bought their own Fowler plot in Mountain View. Things to figure out.

Reading the obituary appears he was buried immediately in Mountain View at his death. But there is a definite plot indicated in Zion Hill. I will, ask my sisters if my Grandmother (his Widow) ever said anything about it. My sister could actually visit Zion Hill in Hartford to see what is there.

RE: Elizabeth Booth Allyn/Allen
Hi Marie-

Yes, I am willing to work with you on this. I know the family has been up in arms often, on how to spell our name! I think my links are different from yours but we can add those to yours also.

Are you a cousin from the Allen/Allyn's?

Let me know what you would like me to do- I was actually going to start working on the Allen's again in Sept. I have an old Allen Bible and want to see if it is part of this Allyn/Allen family.

Thanks Marie-

RE: Meder and Jennings...
Thus far, I am not seeing any relation there, so I am not going to request any transfers at this time. Thank you for he offer... However, I have been researching long enough to know that things unfold in the most mysterious ways and what I don't see clearly today may come into view tomorrow. With that in mind, I respectfully request a rain check. I'm fairly sure I'll bump into a few relatives in some of your memorials at some point... The only question being is how long will it take me to travel the line that leads me to them.

Have a great weekend!
