Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a homemaker. I am married, no children. My hobbies include genealogy among other things. I have other interests also. I volunteer for our library by delivering library materials to people who are homebound. I love to read and play computer games (those that challenge my mind).
I have decided I won't be contributing memorials to FindAGrave. I will, however, correct any that need correcting, so please e-mail me. I will also transfer any memorials to those who request them.
I don't know why there's a statement on my Profile page stating that I'm a photo volunteer. That's not true. I have done a few photos, but am NOT a photo volunteer.
I have been back on F. A. G. for some time now and have been trying to add information from the new Edit column. I'm doing the best I can.
Sometimes I do get Suggest A Correction in the traditional way and that's fine, however, if you DON'T list an e-mail address or LEAVE A PUBLIC MESSAGE statement and I have a question, I can NOT get back to you.
If I can't get back to you, I may not be able to do what's suggested.
NOTE: LEAVING A PUBLIC MESSAGE IS FINE. FOR SOME REASON, THIS IS NOT SHOWN UNDER MY PROFILE.

ON MARCH 18, 2014, MY DEAR BROTHER HARRY J. O'TOOLE, SR. PASSED AWAY. I HAVE ENTERED A MEMORIAL FOR HIM ON THIS SITE AND IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO ADD A REMEMBRANCE, YOU ARE PERFECTLY WELCOME TO DO SO.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

ON MARCH 21, 2015, ANOTHER ONE OF MY BROTHERS PASSED AWAY. MY BROTHER JOHN P. O'Toole, Sr. passed away unexpectedly from heart problems. He went quickly and quietly. You are more than welcome to leave remembrances on his memorial for which I thank you.

ON JULY 18, 2015, ANOTHER MEMBER OF MY FAMILY PASSED AWAY. MY SISTER ANNA WENEY(NEE O'TOOLE) PASSED ON.

JOAN

NOTE; I WANT TO THANK THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE LEFT REMEMBRANCES FOR MY BROTHER HARRY. SOME CONTRIBUTORS DON'T HAVE PUBLIC MESSAGES AND THERE IS NO WAY I CAN ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR KINDNESS.
ALSO, I WON'T BE ADDING NEW MEMORIALS. I WILL BE ADDING TO MY OWN FAMILY, THE O'TOOLES, THE FERROS, AND THE PACITTIS.

RE: Isabelle O'Mahoney's memorial
The name just needs a space removed; the bolding is just formatting and doesn't matter.

My understanding is the place a person actually died is what we ought to record, even when it isn't where they lived. I won't be upset if you turn that edit down, though.

RE: Pitts memorial
I'm afraid you're mistaken. I created a memorial for William Sr. who died in 2010. I had no intention of trying to replace your memorial for William Jr. who died in 2008.

RE: William Pitts memorial
I sent you the link so you would have it. I though that would make it easier for you.

Check your edits. I sent you a link to his mother.

RE: William Pitt's memorial
There is a Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton, which might be where the funeral was. But this church has no cemetery. I'm just guessing that he might be buried at Our Lady of Grace, since that's where his mother was buried and it's relatively close to Southampton.

Womens Wrestlers
Yes, if you look at companies like WWE, they started the women's movement as of recent and have been focusing more on the athleticism, versus brawn and strength.

RE: Christopher Baumann's memorial
Actually, there are female wrestlers. Some of them have gone on to be very successful.

RE: Christopher Bauman
Actually, that was his professional wrestling moniker as he was a professional wrestler on the indy circuit.

RE: Thomas McKeefery
It was a tradition, just that when the oldest died, then the next became SR, the grandson became JR, etc. I don't think it is like that anymore, but it certainly was in the first half of the 20th century and before, except in Royal circles.

I number them sequentially to keep them straight in my head and in my tree. Documentation for this family calls them all different numbers or designations. I have some documents which call this Thomas JR but the obit posted would make him a SR as his son is listed as JR, regardless of the fact that this man is at least the third and his son the fourth, not JR.

Surname spelling did not become standardized until the advent of Social Security and if his obit spells it as McKeefery, then McKeefery it is. I am trying to change his wife's memorial spelling to align with this one but I am not the caretaker of it. I have submitted an edit.

This Mr. Thomas John McKeefery III/SR was the second husband of my uncle's first wife and the stepfather of my first cousin. I am neither angry nor judgemental (not my place at all!) but as a genealogy buff, I am more interested in documenting who was who and where they came from. These twists are what makes a family tree interesting despite the pain caused at the time.
