Isabel Sanford, # 42321192
Hello Kris--

Thanks for all your work. You provided an excellent photo of the marker for my great, great aunt, Isabel Sanford, who was buried in West Union Cemetery in 1869. Recently I was looking at that photo while waiting for a very s-l-o-w upload to finish and I noticed something strange on the base of the marker: There are 2 lines of inscription that say P.E. H[?]xxxxxx; Dxxxxxxx.

Do you, or anyone, have any idea what this is? Does the cemetery have records going back that far? There is no information in our family history that would relate to this. Other than this, the inscription is as expected: S. ISABEL / Daughter of / Nirum and Jane A. / SANFORD / DIED / Nov. 25, 1869 / AGED / 20 Ys. 11 Ms. / & 4 Ds.

Thanks again for setting up all those memorials.

Adison Quivey - 40751965 Correction
Kris,
I submitted a change of birth dates for this individual, a half brother to my great grandfather William White Quivey. I did so based on the fact that Adison's mother died on 12 March 1867.

I know that changing the date doesn't jive with the 1 year, 1 month, 3 days from the 1 April 1868 death date that's inscribed on Adison's grave stone. But, having him being born 14 days after his mother's death is an impossibility.

I'm assuming that the death dates are correct on both Adison's and his mother Sarah Jane's graves and that someone didn't calculate correctly his age in terms of months and days at time of his death.

John D & Emelie Schatz
I believe the above mentioned couple are buried in
the West Union Cemetery. Here's dates that will help:
John D. Schatz
born 1864
died between 1930-1940 I think

Emelie (Weier) Schatz
born 1869
died 1922

Can you check for us, please?

Thanks in advance for your effort.

I am working on a project to identify the last resting places of Civil War soldiers that had ties to Vermont. I have seen your name as contributors to some posted on Find A Grave. May I use these to post on Vermont's Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org) You would receive credit for these.
Thank you for your consideration.
