If you see I have made an error or would like additional information added to a memorial I manage please let me know. I try to be as accurate as possible, but sometimes records disagree or my fingers get ahead of my brain when I am typing.|
I enjoy taking the photographs of cemeteries and posting them here at Find A Grave. Feel free to use my photos (only mine please) as you would like or if you would like a copy just email me and I'll see about sending one.
Please remember we are all volunteers and give of ourselves to add the memorials and photos that are listed. I do this because I like to help people, so when requesting corrections or additional information added please be kind.

No problem, Thank you.

Thanks for your message. I noticed that you had not added the information about him but you did add information to Thomas Miller's bio. I know life gets complicated sometimes and I trust you will get to George.
|Jackson||Landon Henry McElyea|
there are apparently two Landon H Mc Elyeas --- one the son of George 1861-1938 buried in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Laurel Bloomery and the other is son of Larkin (ca 1842-12/9/1919) buried in Dugger cemetery in Dry Hill.....it appears this is the marker of the latter
You have the right cemetery the right stone but the wrong birthdates --- could you please make an effort to change this

On Dec. 14 I used the Edit option to send a short bio note for his memorial. Did you receive it?

Aleta, you created a memorial for John M Main and give his parents as Sidney Main and Sarah Baker. I have a Sidney Mumford) Main with a wife of Sarah Dunn (have their marriage record in Johnson County, Tennessee) and a son named John Emanuel Main. I've gone back to see where I picked up the middle name as Emanuel, and it looks like I got it from Ancestry Trees and each person that I trace back also got it from Ancestry Trees. I see nowhere that Emanuel is his official name. However, the information is the same for both my John and the memorial John. It makes me wonder if he was called Manuel and the middle initial came from that. Just conjecture.
Do you have any information regarding this young man or his mother's true maiden name? I know my Sidney Main was married to Sarah who died in 1860. The next year he married Mary Dunn and had several other children.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to make corrections. The correct information will help someone someday find their ancestors.

Are you related to Cora? I'm just trying to verify some data regarding her parents and wondered if you had any information on them.
Thank you so much for all the pictures and information you provide for those of us who live so far away and aren't able to do it ourselves.

|D. Clark Hoffman||Beautiful Cemetery Grave Stones are Gone|
I was visiting North Carolina this weekend and took my dad with me to see Patton's Ridge area. I was thrilled to be able to stand on land where my ancestors once stood (e.g., Rhoda Catherine Payne Church / Joel Church, my great great grandmother, Mary Ellen Church Taylor, and my Great Grandmother, Margaret L. Taylor Greene. Today I drove on the Patton's Ridge Rd. - to the area where I was told that the Cemetery Gravestones would be. The only thing I could find there were some remains of a stone chimney. I contacted my cousins wife, that lives on the road. She came and confirmed that the gravestones have been removed.. likely by the logging company that is working there. I just don't know where they could be - - why someone would do this without first letting family know, etc. I am hoping that someone will be able to investigate this. How very sad. With a heavy heart, Deb (Clark) Hoffman
