Bio

I have always been fascinated by my family - they have deep roots in Lancaster County, PA. I started collecting photos, info, stories, and clippings while in elementary school. I visited many of the old cemeteries where family was buried and helped clean graves - great time to talk to older relatives about their memories.

In the 1980's I interviewed many family members fully intending to really get digging - but children came along and relocations for work, so all the family papers were safely boxed up for "later". In the meantime, most of the older folks have died, so my memories are precious. In the last couple years I have finally been able to dig again, and what fun it is. Find-a-grave has been a wonderful help and just flat out a lot of fun.

The photos I take of gravestones are for sharing. Please feel free to copy and use the gravestone photos in your family history search.

When I travel, I try to stop and take photos in at least one cemetery. It helps me learn a little about the area and gives me an excuse to stop at the local library and town office to learn a little more.

The memorials that I actually keep are people related to me. I am always looking for info on family so if you have something to add, please do so, either through the edits on the memorial or via e-mail. Please tell me about the photo or the source where you got the info.
