Bio and Links
Bio Photo Having more fun walking the older areas of the cemeteries and thinking of the histories.

I have photographed all of Oak Grove and more than half of Lakeside in Pekin, IL. There are alot of missing headstones and quite a bit that are unreadable. Getting what I can before they are gone.

I will transfer ONLY within Find A Grave's guidelines. Though happy to add any information you have to the memorials. This is a memorial site, not a family genealogy site.

I also have spent many an hour walking the cemeteries and transcribing headstones that are hard to read. If you take any of the photos and place them on other sites such as Ancestry, at least make credit back to me. May sound selfish, but giving credit to someone for their work is only correct.

Thank you for taking the time to search for Edna's grave site. Her death certificate says she was buried in Lakeside Cemetery, in Pekin but she died in Moline. Edna's first husband and her 3 small children are buried there as well.

Correction request
I have reviewed Johnny Horton's Wikipedia article, the Handbook of Texas online article of him, obituary and marriage records that are online. There is no mention of Horton being married to Janey M Starr. Horton was married first to Doris Cook and then Hank William's widow, Billie Jean Jones Williams.
I have also reviewed family histories and supporting sources and find no relationship to Starr. Starr would be 14 years older than Horton who was born in 1925.
If this is a mistake, please delete the spouse relationship.
Thank you in advance for your hard work.
