Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most of my ancestors originate from Britain and Ireland but I am researching a twig on the family tree that originates from Virgina & Missouri way way back when. I think Find A Grave is a great place to honour my ancestors and to help others follow the trails I have been on. I am located in Canada and its hard for me to do on-site research in other places. So, many thanks to all who post info and photos. Hopefully someone will find the info I post useful too. If you do, send me a message or place some flowers in my relatives' memorials. Cheers, Tracy Anne.

RE: Finnens
Oh wow! If you are a great granddaughter of Albert Herman Finnen, born in 1871, then you are related to my wife - she is a great granddaughter of Charles Egbert Finnen, born in 1867. Herman and Egbert were brothers.

Duncan. Charles and Ethel Maud
Thanks for posting these headstones. When you live in another province it is a real help to be able to get information to complete a family.
Charles Bernhart Duncan was born in Owen Sound Ontario in 1879. He married Ethel Maud Watts , daughter of Edward Coyne Watts ( 1855-1917) and Martha Teeter ( 1862-1916) of Owen Sound.
Edward was my great uncle and the family came to Canada before 1856 and lived near Hillsburg ON near Erin On. His father John died in 1856 and is buried there. Ethel came to Sask. With her husband and 2 sisters, Mabel Teresa and Dorcas . Dorcas married Phillip J. Smith.

I am not sure if I ever got back to you about this - a move and life may have gotten in the way. I think that you have him as Dennis Dillabough. His sister used Dillabaugh that might be the confusion. I can be e-mailed at familystory@shaw.ca

Hi Tracy, I have been doing research on relatives of mine that are buried in Maymont Community Cemetery. Have just found them there but no pictures. I am sure there is some kind of marker or headstone. Are you close enough to that area that you could possibly help me out. I have exact locations as to where they are buried. Anxious to hear from you. This cemetery is of course a little bit outside of Maymont. My personal email is ejhockett@sbcglobal.net Thank you again. Evan M. Hockett

Emily Williamson
Thank you for your response. My Emily (Friars) Williamson, wife of Sgt. Williamson, was definitely born in Dec. 1889 and baptized Dec. 20, 1889 at St. Mary's, Southwark, London,England. That would make her only about 41 at time of death in 1931. I also have records of her correct birthdate in ship manifests coming over to Canada in 1919 and in 1923. She was widowed in 1921 and went back to England and then came back to Canada. She had a son, Allan Williamson born in 1918, who came back and forth with her. I think we have the wrong Emily Williamson attached to Sgt. Wilfred Charles Williamson. Does the cemetery make the correlation or do we the decendants make the wrong correlation? I am beginning to think that my Emily did not die in 1931 but remarried and died elsewhere.

Nevertheless, I thank you for your help.

RE: Valmai Jones
Thanks.

I have taken to asking since I have had a few 'bogus' requests, and I do want to make sure what I add is reliable information.
