Suggestion to photographers: The best photos are taken when the sun is on the face of the headstone from above. If you catch an old "unreadable" headstone in the middle of the day with the sun shining down on it's face at the right angle, you can read every word and number. Try it! |
I will honor family transfers and welcome suggestions and corrections to any of my work. I enjoy researching the history of the people I add. I would like to add parents and spouses to each one. Do not take my work as gospel. Study it out for yourself. If you believe I have made an error or if you have additional information, let me know.

You're welcome, Beckie. Glad I could help. It was a peaceful and beautiful day in the Oakdale cemetery yesterday. I have many relatives buried there and it was a wonderful time of remembering.
All the best,

I am a volunteer at the Franklin County Archives in Russellville, Alabama and I recently found a framed photograph of John Aycock and his wife. Their info is hand written on the back and reads:
John H. Aycock, born Aug 2, 1822 died May 20, 1898
Judith Allen Brown born in Caroline Co, VA Nov 13, 1828 died Feb 5, 1909.
John H Aycock and Judith Allen Brown were married at Tuscumbia, Ala. May 30, 1848.
(Picture taken 1848)
Thought you might like to add this info. Also, do you know where the wife might be buried?

If you would consider trasferring Roxie Ann Strickland Stack's memorial (#38796816)to my care it would be much appreciated. She is my great-grandmother on my maternal side.

Great work you do. Thank you so much.
I'd like to make one correction on the Find A Grave site for my parents, Buford and Catherine Suffridge. They married at 12:15 a.m. on December 25, 1938 at my grandmother's house (Gladys Egan Totten) on Green Street in Morrilton.
Buford Joseph Suffridge, Jr.
If you care to add it my birth date is 21 November 1940 and my sister, Catherine Gladys "Katy" Suffridge Warren was born July 3, 1946.
