A lifelong resident of Salt Lake County, I was born at 5:57 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 1992 at Holy Cross Hospital (now Salt Lake Regional Medical Center) in the East Central neighborhood of Salt Lake City.
Raised in Millcreek, West Valley City, Murray, Cottonwood Heights, and Kearns, a lifelong dream came to frution on May 12, 2014, when I moved to Salt Lake City. I presently reside in the Liberty Wells neighborhood — a place my ancestors first made their home in 1914.
Family history research led me to discover Find A Grave one day back in August of 2006. I subsequently joined and have greatly enjoyed contributing here since. I feel honored and privileged to be able to help document and memorialize the lives of those who came before me as well as preserve their information for future generations. It is truly a labor of love for me.
When not doing genealogical research, I'm deeply involved in Democratic politics at the local and state levels, serving as a state delegate, county delegate, precinct secretary, and Utah Stonewall Democrats board member. I also enjoy reading, writing (I currently serve as a reporter for Utah Political Capitol and am a contributing writer at KSL.com, the Deseret News, and Building Salt Lake), and listening to '70s and '80s music.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, belonging to the Wells Ward, Salt Lake Granite Stake (formerly the Belvedere Ward, Salt Lake Wells Stake; and Jordan North Second Ward, Salt Lake Jordan North Stake).
Please let me know of any corrections or additions that need to be made to one of my memorials.
As for transfers, I don't subscribe to the four-generation rule. If I've added a memorial for one of your relatives or friends and you would like to manage it, please let me know and I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to you.
If you have time, please leave flowers for my grandfather, Brent Curtis; my grandfather, Norm Gibbons; my grandmother, Gae Gibbons; my aunt, Jane Brandenburg; my uncle, Marc Curtis; and my cousin, Clair Harward
Some ancestors had a magic way
Of leaving trails to climb each day
They had a goal and climbed with care
Faith gave them dreams and a home most fair
So from a land across the sea
They came to a land most promised to be
And lived their lives happy and free
They gave us freedom and a heritage great
Anchoring our souls from a cruel fate
Great thrills and joys their stories bring
Of the lives they lived and the songs they sing
God grant that I may useful be
And meet these dear ones in Eternity

|Patricia Hobbs||Thank you|
I don't know you, nor are the chances great that I will ever meet you. But I feel compelled to offer my sincere gratitude to you and the great service you do. My grandmother passed away 3 and a half years ago. She was my best friend. I miss her every single day. I live in Texas, and have been unable to visit her grave, save a couple of times. It was with great peace that I found the pictures you uploaded of her gravesite. Thank you. Now I feel like I can visit anytime. It is healing to me. Thank you, sincerely.
Thank you so much Ryan! I was able to link her parents and add a photo of her. Kiss!

My father Earl M. Bennett, who is buried at Fort Douglas Cemetery, in the Cemetery on the campus of University of Utah. You have his date of birth listed on your record as May 9th 1908. He was born on May 9, 1905 not 1908. I appreciate you taking care of these records.
My mother was born in Salt Lake City on January 3rd 1911.
My parents are both buried at the old Fort douglas Cemetery with my twin sisters.

Thanks so much for the transfer. Bless you!
|John Nemelka||Selby Lincoln Collinson|
Selby Lincoln is second cousin to my wife Marie
Thompson, McKean, Nemelka.I see where you have done work on Selby's Grave Site.Shelby's father was married to Sarah Armstrong Mackean.Sarah is my wife's aunt. In records that we have in our position, Selby had in his possession the Bible Of William Mckean, Sarah's father. We are trying to find this bible. Do you have any contacts that you can give me to find this bible. Shelby had one son that I can find. He is Wallace Edward Collinson, should be about 80 and I believe living in Sandy.
Any help that you can give us to help locate this bible would be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering what your connection is to her. Since I was rather close to her I was just curious. Also curious to how you got the picture that I took.

I would love to share information with you about the Asay - Callaway families. I have some holes that perhaps you could help me fill in. Effie May Callaway was the sister to my great grandmother Edna Rosalia Callaway. I would love to talk to you.
