Bio Photo My beautiful daughter Megan Elaine Brookover

San Diego has some of the best Find a Grave contributors who are doing an amazing job of documenting our local cemeteries. If you need a grave photo there is no shortage photo volunteers. If you are looking for an obituary, cemetery information or advice we have volunteers happy to help you.
If you are new to Find a Grave and want to start contributing in the San Diego area please read the FAQs or reach out to someone with your questions.

Please always do a search before creating a new memorial

Links, Corrections and additional information
Please use the edit tab and I will be happy to make corrections, add links and additional information. Do not leave information you want added on this page.

Note: Abstracted lists (such as census, death index, etc.) should be formulated into complete sentences prior to submitting for addition to the bio.
Copy-and-paste census, military and other data is not a "bio"." "Please don't send these types of edits because they will not be added.

Transfers
This is Find-a-Grave, we find graves, so please, if the memorial doesn't have a grave photo, request one prior to asking for a transfer.
I'm pretty liberal when it comes to transfers, however too many times I have transferred and nothing is added or changed. So if you want a transfer, please:
1. Post any family photos (if you have them)
2. Provide me with family links and biographical information you wish to add to the memorial.
3. Tell me your exact relationship

I will not make a transfer if you create excessive memorials with unknown burial locations.

Please be a Find a Grave contributor, not just a collector of someone else's work

✔ PLEASE NOTE!!! Do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate.

RE: Cornelia R Liscum
My research was confusing because there are grave markers in the family plot for Minerva and Kate - they just were not buried there and it took a while to figure out where they were buried.
Thanks for the edits.

RE: Cornelia R Liscum
I appreciate being asked for sources.
Sources for Cornelia R. Liscum are a little more involved. I believe the Cornelia R on the picture of the grave marker on your memorial is Cornelia Liscum Mower Richardson:
I have found indexed records of her marriages to both Oscar Mower and T. G. Richardson in the Vermont Vital Records collection on Ancestry along with the indexed records of both husbands deaths.
I am still looking for death notice for her in the San Diego papers of the time. I have found an index for her death in San Diego County on 13 Mar 1928(Ancestry in the California Death Index 1905-1939). Any mention of her in the San Diego papers her last name is Richardson: a real estate transfer in Feb 1908 to her sister Kate and an exhibit of her brother's war mementos in Apr 1918.
She is listed as a survivor in both sisters death notices.

Hi there: got your message regarding above. Understand your position completely. Admittedly, my comments were done in the heat of a very frustrated moment. I have already given you some info to add to Josephine's memorial. Am also glad to have come to some finality about the memorial. I did contact you a few times about it. As I get more information, I will send it along. Carolyn Hale Pierce

I was contacted a couple of weeks ago to review my submission for Malcom's memorial. Yours happens to be a duplicate (mine was posted in 2011) Malcom was my cousin and drowned in a water tower in El Cajon CA in 1949 -- I remember that day so well. I was asked to review and submit for a merge and Find A Grave would decide which memorial would stay -- mine or yours. I keep checking and nothing has been done - to date. So, could you please delete your memorial? Thank you.
