RE: William Hayes Simpson
I think I should delete mine, since you have something to indicate he is there (obit). Please put the obit back on yours.

Don't worry about the photo request; it might take awhile. It is the rainy season here all winter and we just had 2 snow & ice storms last week. Volunteers are busy with other things (Christmas), plus the weather, so many of us won't be going out graving much until spring.

RE: William Hayes Simpson
From the time frame, I probably got his name from a cemetery list online, but I can't seem to find it now. We photographed the whole cemetery in April 2010, but apparently did not find a stone.

Stones from the 1800s are hard to find; they either didn't have one or it was too worn or broken to read or buried under the sod by now.

I see you entered him in Mt Hope Cemetery with a photo request. We also photographed all of Mt Hope in May 2009, but did not find a stone there either. It doesn't hurt to have someone else take a look. Occasionally we will miss a stone.

This website does not list him in Mt Hope either.

Do you want me to delete him in Anderson Lone Fir? Or should we wait for the results of the photo request in Mt Hope?

Re: Henry Waterfield
Judy -- I just "shared" information from Ancestry on Henry's death. Here are more details: he died in Hailey, ID, 26 Jan 1939. Info is from the Idaho Death Index, 1890-1964. This came right up in a search on Ancestry.

RE: Aubrey Briggs
Hi Judy -- I will be happy to "read" Henry's gravestone to verify the year of death. It might be 2 weeks before I am in that part of town. Just let me know if that is OK. Hope you are having a glorious Fourth!

Aubrey Briggs
Hi Judy -- I will be uploading the photo of Aubrey's marker you requested. I do want to let you know that you will see it is a double marker for Aubrey and Beatrice Briggs. Beatrice does not have a death date. I checked with the cemetery office and she is not buried with Aubrey or anywhere else at Fairmount. Just let me know if you have any questions.

RE: George Hornage
I believe you can download the book for free via the Google Play store. Just look up Google Books, "The Valley Road" by Arthur Wheeler. :-)

G. Hornage via Stockton Rural Cemetery History (facebook)
This is what my FB post says:

"George Hornage
Born: June 10, 1859
Died: July 11, 1929

Findagrave notes state that George Hornage worked as clerk with J.W. England and resided at San Joaquin between Sonora and Church in Stockton. It also mentions that he was a compositor at the Herald.
I found him in the 1891 Stockton Directory listed in Real Estate, Notary Public and Collector at 274 Main Street. His residence was at 115 California Street, Stockton."

I couldn't find any biographical info in the old book, it spoke more about transportation history in within areas of the state, and althoug there are a lot of photos of various people, there isn't alot of info on each person individually. I wish I had more on him, sorry.

RE: George Hornage
I checked my FB page, I realize most of what his Findagrave memorial notes is what my FB says. Let me see if I can find more for you though. I think I still have access to that book. I can check to see the biographical info in it for you. Are you related through his father's mother, Margaret Simpson?

RE: George Hornage
I found the photo in an antique book known as The Valley Road. My fiance' created his Findagrave memorial and posted his bio. I have more info on G. Hornage on my Stockton Rural Cemetery History page on Facebook as well.

I wondered if you would like me to transfer the Whitten's to you as I am not related. Dave
