Taphophilia - love of cemeteries.|
I am a solitary person. I love walking through cemeteries and finding out the stories of people who have passed on. This is a perfect past time for me! And, in the mean time...I am helping others get photos of headstones that they might not otherwise be able to get. What could be better?
You have my permission to use any photo that I post in any way you would like.
I am not a professional, & do not require special acknowledgement.
If I have made a mistake, please use the edit tab & leave correct information, & proof!
I will transfer anyone who I am not related to, but I do not transfer relatives.

|egrug||RE: Rev Umberto Gazzeri|
Thanks for your reply. The Death Certificate was issued from Lawrence County, though Beaver is closer to where I would have suspected.
Since the death certificate states that Umberto was a minister of the Pentecostal church, there is a very good chance that he was visiting one of the 'sister' churches in the Beaver area. There were members of Erie Italian families from the Italian Christian Community that married Italians from Beaver.
In the 1925 City Directory, Unmberto was still found as the pastor of the Erie, PA Assemblia Christiana Church. The next year, the new pastor is identified as Rosario Palmero who continued well into the 1940s.

How thoughtful to add the information on Rev Umberto Gazzeri. He was also the first pastor of the Italian Assemblia Christiana Church in Erie, Pennsylvania, arriving circa 1917 to Erie from Chicago, Illinois in 1910 and then Rockford, IL.
The main purpose of this email is to suggest that the spelling of his wife's name be corrected. It was transcriped incorrectly from his Death Certificate. Her name is Dionizia (Carniglia), as found in the Erie City Directories while they were pastor there through 1923.
Dionizia moved back to Chicago and lived with her daughter. I am unable to locate a death notice on her.
Hope this helps,

Hi! I am looking for a John Lash of Sch.Co.Pa. You know anything of your Grandmother's sister's husband, John?
His parents are at Ohio. John Lash and Elizabeth. I looked up Death record for him and that too is confusing as wife is not correct on it. Where they are buried the Lash's only have their burial posted. The John L. Lash is a Grandson of the John Lash born in Penna. I hope he is mine. Discrepancy,,,,My John was born 1852 and this John was born in 1858. Email me at email@example.com please and thanks!

Thank you for all the transfers. I did not know any of my out of state family as I was too young, but when I discovered Katherine's memorial years ago, it started me on my search for relatives. This memorial was very helpful. Again, I thank you & appreciate your kindness.

Thank you Cathi for the transfers of my relatives and also for your loving efforts in taking the time to photograph and document them in Find a Grave long before I discovered it. Thanks again and keep up the wonderful work you are doing!
Thanks, Cathi, for taking this photo for his memorial. It always makes the page seem more complete when the tombstone photo is there, doesn't it?
