|Fred Sanford||Re Pamela|
I took your photo and attempted to enhance it to see the data better. Check it out.
|Fred Sanford||RE: Re: 'Pamela' Tompkins @ Oak Hill|
I have no problem with your entry for her. It does however create other issues/problems; namely there exists folks who love to go over every blade of grass in this cemetery (and others) and look for any reason to submit changes/updates/whatever and that's the case here. However, The cemetery uses it books of who is buried here - I bought my own copy since I have 50+ kin in here as well as owning burial space myself. Your data needs to be given the cemetery so that they can update their records and show it in the book, both printed and online. Then everyone is in sync. As it stands now, the grave is unmarked and the occupant unnamed. If I put your data in there and change this, someone will send and edit to make it reflect the online listing for Oak Hill. I can guarantee it - it happens constantly everywhere. I hold them to the obit and the marker. If there's no marker, I tell them to work with the yard staff to see if one is buried under years of debris. I even got one now that wants to add an inscription to the memorial for what she thinks the marker says which it does not. I have 1,000s of photos I have not posted yet, some for good reason. I asked her to tell me where this came from cause it ain't there. In any event I hope this makes sense cause until the cemetery gets your update it isn't 'official' - that's not me, just keeping those who live for little issues like this. On the other hand, nobody knew you got a photo so I'm sure they'd appreciate the tip and data. They did when I got them some awhile back. BTW, Robert is my kin but I feel Stephen Balch is my step-something or other. The photo I took of his huge monument was printed in a big history book a few years ago about the historic New York Ave Presbyterian church. They loved it. And check Carl Braatz in Cedar Hill in Suitland - he's my favorite...thanks for all you do as well. Fred

You placed a photo of this marker on the memorial for the unknown baby Tompkins and gave no supporting documentation. The online official burials do not support your doing this as the name remains unknown.
Could you remove the photo and/or create another memorial instead?
|J Wisner||"Eleanor Bernard Montgomery Cameron Bertheau ?Hains"|
Cesar Bertheau died in 1977. It is conceivable that Eleanor Bernard Montgomery is the same one on the gravestone. All were connected to Army Officers. Peter Conover Hains was a retired Colonel. His father was notable for a murder trial. Still looking up a marriage for Eleanor Bernard MOntgomery and Peter Hains.

I am interested in this line for a friend. I know my Eleanor Bernard Montgomery married M G Cameron, divorced then married Cesar Bertheau in 1941. Do you have references to the Peter Conover Hains? Thanks.
