RE: Joan Marie Gnade Ritter
They showed her and the plot in their book, but there is no stone in that location.

Red Cloud Cemetery Burials
Thank you for the edits you have given me. None of these people are actually related to me. I am simply just trying to get more burials (around 5,000) in the Red Cloud Cemetery listed so the information will be accessible to more people. If any of the people you have been supplying me with edits for are related to you, I would gladly transfer their memorials as I don't have access to photos, etc. which I am sure would greatly enhance the memorials.
Again, I thank you for your contributions to FIND A GRAVE and look forward to hearing from you soon.

RE: # 38917589, Charles Arther Workman
Thanks! This was a pleasant surprise. I have already corrected the spelling of "Arthur" and added information about both death certificates and the supplement to the second death cert.

RE: # 38917589, Charles Arther Workman

I actually do have a bit more information. The three index entries actually refer to two death certificates, with different versions of the name. The third is really a supplement to the second death cert, and is a reply to an inquiry from the Dept. of Health for some clarification regarding the cause of death. Why there are two death certs is still a mystery, but not unprecedented. In birth records, I have found several instances of people with two birth certs for the same date--one in Douglas Count and the other in Pope County. I even have one with three birth certs in Douglas County--with three different dates of birth--and I'm still trying to figure out which (if any) of the dates is correct. In MOMS, I have also found people with marriage records in both Douglas and Pope Counties. Just part of the fun of involvement in genealogy.

At least we can get the spelling of "Arther" corrected to "Arthur."

Best wishes!

Joseph C. Steele headstone
I previously noted the incorrect DOB for Joseph C. Steele on his headstone at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. With the passing of my mother Ellen W. Steele, last June, the headstone was replaced and the date corrected. I am unable to upload a corrected photograph, as the maximum number has been exceeded.

# 38917589, Charles Arther Workman
I believe the two entries you found in the Minn. Death Index refer to the same individual. There is a third index entry which I believe also refers to him, with the given names in different order and a precise date of birth. I have reviewed all three death certs, and all refer to a death following surgery, which convinces me that all three death certs refer to the same person. The possibility that they are twins who both died on the same day following surgery for appendicitis is a bit too improbable to be plausible.

Workman, Arthur C
Death Certificate Index
Certificate Number: 1904-32-2888
Date of Birth: 11/14/1882
Place of Birth: Minnesota
Mother's Maiden Name: ELLIOTT
Death: March 20, 1904
County of Death: Douglas County

As you will note, this death record has "Arthur" spelled the usual way, instead of "Arther." In addition, the photo of the tombstone in the memorial appears to also use the conventional spelling of Arthur. So it appears that his full name is either Charles Arthur Workman or Arthur Charles Workman.

Hope this helps.

I saw on his memorial you stated you found the information in the West Point Cemetery book at the West Point library. Since you have plot and row numbers for an unmarked grave, I'm assuming you must have seen the actual cemetery records book, not the transcription of stones they have. I went to the library today and they didn't know anything about a cemetery records book. Could you please tell me where you found that information? I'm trying to locate some other unmarked people in that cemetery. Thank you so much

Arleen Young
grave in LaBelle Cemetery
I have an obituary for an ancestor of mine. It is a child who died at 3 years of age. His name is Roland Blair. His parents are Pressley Blair and Elizabeth May Sullivan. I have an old obituary but, there are no dates on it. All that I have is he died abt 1902 in my genealogy. And died abt 1905. Is there anyway that you could help me find this child's grave and is there a record in the cemetery or local funeral home that could give me specific dates? I would REALLY appreciate your help.
