|Bio and Links|
I was so pleased when I found the "Find a Grave" site, which has given the opportunity to list members of the Akin Family and their brief bios with burial locations. I wish to recognize the hard work of Lois Akin Schultz, Daphne M. Brownell, Robert Lawrence Akin, Donna Wendt, and Karen Kelly for gathering, researching, photographing, and making available the majority of the information I used on the Akin memorials. |
Terry passed away on 2 May 2011 but I (Heidi)will continue to maintain his site and any request. Just use the edit tab on the memorial to send messages at his email address on file for any changes you want.If I have listed one of your family members and you wish to take over the page let me know.

|Mike Gourley||Myrtle Alice Akin|
I recently came across Myrtle Alice Akin in the research of my family tree. I do not have a lot of information about her and am hoping maybe you or someone you know does. I'm also hoping to learn more about here parents, which would be my 3rd great Aunt and Uncle, and he grandparents as that is as far back as our records go. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
|Joseph Ruhl||Ruhl/Nitzel Graves|
Could you please transfer John W Ruhl (#25906887), Mary W. Nitzel (25905459) and Samuel Nitzel (25906944) to me?
John and Mary are my Great Grandparents and Sam was Great Grandmother's third husband. Mary only had one child, my Grandfather John William Ruhl, Jr. John, Jr. later worked for Sam. You might find interesting that Sam's Bar was still in business as a bar until 2014. It had become the oldest Gay Bar in Baltimore, although I do not believe that Sam or Granddad would have liked to know that!
Thank you for your help.
Joseph W Ruhl Jr.

|Kristine Pecheone||Tallman Farm Cemetery|
I am interested in going to the Tallman Farm Cemetery which is apparently on Windfall Road, Schuyler, NY. Terry Akin has taken pictures there of many, if not all, of the graves. I am having difficulty locating it. Do you have any information on where it is exactly and/or g.p.s. coordinates?
|Joseph Ruhl||Mary W Nitzel and Samuel E Nitzel|
I forgot Great Grandmother and her third husband. Could you please transfer Mary W. Nitzel DOD 1911 and Samuel E Nitzel DOD 1915 to me.
Mary was my great grandmother. John William Ruhl Sr. was her first husband. After he died she was married two more times. Samuel Eugene Nitzel was her third husband. They were married in 1902 until her death in 1911.
Joseph W Ruhl < Jr

|Paula||Baird and Fleet|
Good evening would you be able to take pictures of my gg grandparents and some of their family Graves. I heard that about 5 or 6 are buried in same section. My ggg grandmother is Ophelia Baird and there is a picture of her grave. I'm not sure if she is buried next to any family members or not. My gg grandparents were Washington F. Fleet and Rosa Roubaud (Baird) Fleet died 1927 and a Mary Baird her sister and a Lizzy Baird a half sister possibly next to her? Also a Florence Lillian ( Fleet ) Brown?
