I began tracing the SWEANY genealogy when I was 18 years old at the request of my grandfather, Clark Deputy SWEANY. It is a true passion of mine. It is the legacy I'll leave to my SWEANY family. Major family names: SWEANY (and spelling variations thereof), DEPUTY, RUDDICK, LEWIS, ARBUCKLE, BARNES, HUGHES and MONROE. Member: National Genealogical Society, Indiana Genealogical Society, Indiana County History Preservation Society, Riley County Kansas Genealogical Society. |
I've always enjoyed cemeteries. My little Maltese, Cody, and I frequent not only Tennessee cemeteries where we live but southern Indiana cemeteries also as my family currently lives there/all my family lines are from there and we visit at least once a month. If I can help with any pictures, please do a photo request and ask that it be assigned to me-that way I'll receive an email and won't miss your request.
From fellow Find-A-Gravers, Corey & Douglas Marshall-Steele, who were so kind as to take a photo for me, I use the message from their profile: "I am always happy to transfer memorials to the family to which they belong. The Golden Rule trumps the guidelines, and hoarding is just stingy and small." That pretty much says it all.
I wish you success in your searches and if I can help in any way, just ask!

Hi RoxAnne, May I have your permission to use the beautiful photo you took of this cemetery in my family tree? Of the three posted, it is the best, by far.
Thank you very much,

Hi Roxanne, I am related to Abraham, yes and would love to have his memorial if you want to transfer it to me. I apologize if I sounded hostile. I understand the huge amount of time and effort you put into maintaining these memorials and, the less than appreciative response you often times receive from the families. If it wasn't for people like you we would never find our people. Thank you for all you do!

Whoever cleaned his headstone completely ruined it. Isn't it against Find A Grave rule-policy?

You never did tell me how YOU are related to any of them. I guess I will have to let findagrave settle this.

I've added some pictures of Nancy Arbuckle to your memorial for her. Nannie was my great grandmother Jennie Arbuckle's (Brady) sister. I have Arbuckle pictures I'd be happy to share with you. Thank you for your wonderful memorials.
all my best,
Lettie's grandmother Barbara (58129652)and grandfather Thomas Dildine (30394338)Edwards are my great, great, great grandparents. We have extensive information on your maternal genealogy if you are interested.
Our family has documented our genealogy back to Francis Cooke and Stephen Hopkins who traveled to the new world on the Mayflower.
I hope you will participate in updating your family for inclusion in our next publication. The last Sweany we have documented is Patricia Blanche and Donn Sweany (adopted). We could use your help.
I hope to hear from you, cousin.

All along I thought that you were related to another family line, now I know that you are related to the Tobias line. Do you know Shannon Wiess? She resides in IN, now. See ya' Bev W.
