I have always loved the old cemeteries. My interest in genealogy has brought me back into the cemeteries to find my roots. I love helping others to discover their past and to honor and remember those that have come before us. |
Nearly all of the information for the memorials I have entered is taken from photographs which I have personally taken. In the interest of getting as many people entered as possible, I have gotten behind in adding all my photos. If you see a memorial which I have entered and you would like a photo, please request the photo by clicking the "request a photo" tab on the memorial and then drop me a line to let me know that you have put in the request. I am not automatically notified when a photo request has been made on a memorial I have created.
I welcome all corrections. I try to be as accurate as I possibly can.

Hello, myself and a couple of others were interested in the 4,000 outstanding photo requests at Mt. Hebron in NY- I saw you have taken some photos there, do you have any info as to the safety/accessibility of the cemetery? We were wondering if there was a specific reason that there are so many outstanding requests, other than it being a very large cemetery. Wondering if you have any insight. Thanks.

P J Train, Huntington Rural Cemetery, N.Y., This is Philip John Train, my great great Uncle. Passed in 1912. My story is that I found your photo, went through the process of ordering a new marker that can be read, from the US Military Cemetery folks....it arrived a week ago(end of AUG 2017)...BUT now that grave site can't be located on the grounds. Is there and chance your information my point to where you took that picture? I have updated and filled in the missing info under Philip John Train, now we just need to find his spot.
I'm grateful what you have already done for him and hopeful you have the info so we can place this new marker at the foot of his grave.
Sincerely, Joy Giacobbe Venghaus
