Bio and Links
Bio Photo I feel like I have been doing this for a long time now. Thirteen years. Feel free to send me corrections or additions and also feel free to use photos I take or submit. It is nice to be credited for photos as I have put a lot of work into them.

When you want to send me a message a little courtesy is nice instead of people writing rudely or demanding something.

If you are related to a memorial I have do not be afraid to ask for a transfer if they are not related to me I am more than happy to do so. I do not follow guidelines for FAG as far as transferring just tell me your relation.

Recently I have begun trying to put link in my family tree all of the ancestors here on FAG but it is difficult in some cases as there have been a few who are not listed as their final resting places have never been found. One is believed to be under the waters of a resevoir built in the 1930's so I created one as unknown which I usually would not do but it is the only way to link them. Another has been searched for by myself and a previous researcher for over 50 years with no luck so I also added him. as unknown for linking purposes. Some people will not link but in these I have added the number next to the child so they are known to exist.

Rosea Thies Memorial

Have you ever been able to locate a headstone for ROSEA THIES (1859-1939)? She is buried at Annunciation in Elma? We tried calling the office and did get a reply but they did not tell us where the burial location is?

Any help appreciated.

Ward Gorham #37827451
I would like to resolve the confusion regarding Ward Gorham's place of burial. I'd appreciate a response to my contacts.

Ward Gorham #37827451

Ward's inscription on the grave marker with his wife, Mary (Tiffany) Gorham, is a cenotaph only. When "Marie" died and her body returned to New York for burial, the family had his name put on the marker with the expectation that he would eventually be buried alongside her.

However, as it transpired, Ward was buried in a crypt at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum in Portland, Oregon. So, the inscription on Marie's marker in New York is misleading. You will note that Ward's death date was never inscribed on the marker.

See Find A Grave #175682411. It's a memorial page I created for Ward Gorham at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum. I posted a photo of the crypt marker, and added a link to Marie.

Ideally, I think Ward's New York memorial page should be deleted to avoid confusion with his actual place of burial in Oregon. In any case, the double-link needs to be addressed.

For the record, Ward Gorham was my great-uncle. I was too young to remember him, but I recall my mother and grandmother speaking about attending his funeral service.

Many thanks,

Gustav Ribbeck transfer
Hi Mark: I would greatly appreciate it if you would transfer memorial # 76950402 Gustav Ribbeck to me. He is my second cousin once removed, but I have a special place for him in my heart as he was born on the wrong side of the blanket and died young due to complications from measles. And if you have any other Ribbecks from Western New York that you would like to pass along, send them my way-- they all trace back to my G-G-grandparents A.F. Wilhelm and Caroline. Thanks so much!!!
