Gone But Not Forgotten....

**PLEASE DO NOT COPY ANY OF MY FAMILY PHOTOS/PORTRAITS THAT I HAVE PERSONALLY POSTED ON MY MEMORIALS WITHOUT OBTAINING MY PERMISSION FIRST. THANKS VERY MUCH!**

**Permission is granted for any gravestone photo. If I have given credit to someone who granted me permission to use the photo, please include their name when saving.**

ALSO WHEN YOU TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF A FIND A GRAVE MEMORIAL, PLEASE INCLUDE THE CONTRIBUTOR'S NAME! I have seen so many posted on ancestry.com with the contributor left off & "courtesy of findagrave". Remember findagrave did not do the research, the contributor did, please give them credit!!

Find A Grave rule states : "No scans of obituaries or newspaper articles." I am in the process of removing mine, but I wanted to add the following information on "public domain" for fellow genealogists...

Public domain rule in the U.S. as of 2017:
"In the United States, anything published on or before December 31, 1922 is considered to be in the Public Domain, which means that it is not protected under copyright, and no copyright permission is needed to copy, digitize, or use the publication in any way."

A little about me...
Glasgow High School graduate

I have always enjoyed oral history at an early age. Wish I had asked more questions now... In 1994 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, went through surgery and chemo, I was given 3-6 years to live. So after I recovered from the treatments, in 1996 I decided to sell my home of 20 years and go on the road to research my family 1st-hand that were in my family files. I became a "fulltimeRVer" for six years; following the paths of my ancestors was a memorable experience and very humbling at times. I visited so many places I would never have visited otherwise... courthouses, libraries, cemeteries, meeting family and getting to actually stand on family land that my ancestors owned. Well, I am still here, I guess I still have ancestors to find and their stories to tell..... the oral history is out there, I just have to find the descendant that it was passed down to..

In addition to my family lines, I research Allen, Barren, Butler, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe and Warren Counties in KY. (South Central KY)

RE: Photo request - Katherine Graham Prince
Hello Laura,

You are very welcome. I travel to Virginia all the time and have been going to Blandford to research my husbands family buried there and thought I would try to fulfill as many requests as I can each trip. Yours was the only one of 8 that I could find this time.

I also took pictures of the others in that plot for the family and posted those as well.

Thanks!

Kaye

Willis Bybee
Laura....thanks to your encouragement several years back, we have finally pinpointed and visited the Allee-Hodge cemetery near the intersections of the Barren-Metcalfe-Monroe County borders. We photographed the tombstone of Willis Bybee which is still standing and attempted to add it to your Find-A-Grave memorial. The actual cemetery is located deep in the woods on the southern edge of Piercy Hollow in Metcalfe County. Half a dozen stones remain; the remainder of the cemetery is covered by thick, ground-hugging crepe myrtle vines and multiple depressions marking burials are readily visible. Locals believe multiple Bybees from the mid-19th century, including Neil McCann Bybee and Milly Allee Bybee are also buried there. If I can provide additional information, please just let me know. My thanks for all you do and for your earlier encouragement.
