Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing my Family Tree for about a year. I have found out so many interesting facts about my family. It makes me feel like I know them.

This web site has given me the oppertunity to visit graves of loved ones, that I was unable to attend there funeral or just can't visit anymore because I live to far away.

Tennessee Hogan Covert
Jo Ann, I was told Tennessee "Hogan" Covert was buried in Liberty Cemetery as some of her children and her parents are buried here. Her parents were Marcus Hogan 1784 d, aft. 1870,# 40759024 and Jane Gould Hogan 1813, d. 1885 # 40761124. Tennessee's husband Lucas Covert died in a POW Camp in Morton, Putnum Co., Indiana in the Civil War. Is there some way to find out if she is buried in Liberty? She lived in White Oak and died Between 1870 and 1900.

John Farrell Atkins
He taught school at Sweeny High School in Texas. We were talking about some of the teachers we had. What happen to them. We were in shock about Coach Atkins of his passing.

Can you tell us more of what he died of?

He was so much fun to have as a teacher. He had ways of making our class time go by quickly. We called him Big John.

I also added the Memorial for Charles William Shedden. Would you like me to transfer ownership to you?

I will look up the obits tomorrow at the library and e-mail them to you. If you give me your address, I can send you a copy of them as well for your records. I am big into family history and love to look up my families info as well as help other people out with theirs.

Shedden, Bates
The people at the Rock Springs Cemetery (Mountain View) were unable to locate the graves for Fred Bates, Myrna Bates, and Marjorie Shedden. Do you happen to know what months they died? Also, what year did Fred Bates die? I can look up the obits and possibly find the graves that way. Would you like the obits for the people whose headstones I did take? Just let me know.
