Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on my famiy genealogy for over 50 years, and worked in the LDS Family History Center for 30 years. I have visited many cemeteries over the years, and taken quite a few tombstone pictures. I will be glad to transfer to you any memorials that belong to your family, and I am happy to accept correction suggestions so my memorials are as accurate and complete as possible.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 41495807
That diary entry was beautiful. We regretfully do not write so well. Are you related to these people? My connection is: Robert Burns Paine to his daughter Sallie Paine to her daughter Elizabeth Clapp Davis who was the second wife (no children) of my great grandfather Thomas Waldauer Gulledge. I think they were married thirty years are more. Family lore tells us that Sallie's Sunday School teacher was Stonewall Jackson, who presented Sallie with a bible. Also, that Robert Burns Paine's descendants through daughter Margaret included a male in-law named "Kyle" for whom the football field at Texas A&M is named. My data indicates that to be erroneous.
Also, do you know where this name "Clapp" entered the family tree?

Also, where do you think Robert Burns Paine might be buried? I have pretty good data on his descendants.

Thanks Jessie, that was helpful. Can you ascertain
the relation between Robert Burns and John Welsh Paine?

Elizabeth Parks Alexander McClung
Hello Jessie, I would like for you to take time and look at this memorial. There is a broken headstone picture on it and some of it is readable. It does not match the info of Elizabeth.

I can clearly read:
Sacred
to the memory
of
Eliza McClung
daughter (you can clearly see the ghter) of

then it gets messy it could be Mar or Jam???
McClung the next line is not readable
CLEARLY Sept 27 ??19 aged
17 years (crack) month

Mary McClung and Robert Tate are my 5th great grandparents .....as yet I do not know if they had a daughter named Eliza but feel pretty certain this is who this headstone belongs to and not to Elizabeth Parks Alexander McClung.

Is there a way to explain that on here memorial of have the headstone picture removed?
Thanks

Dora Edwards - memorial #57254228
Hi Jessie,
I thought you might be able to help me with a little confusion.
newrivernotes.com lists the following:

In the Worrell Cemetery:
EDWARDS, Dora F. 16 Apr 1860 18 Feb 1925 Shared stone with next; Dora Florence; d/o Jefferson Edwards & Elizabeth Jane Bird

In the Independence Cemetery:
BUNN, Dora Ann 30 Mar 1862 24 Apr 1932 Shared stone with next; d/o Jefferson Edwards & Elizabeth Bird; w/o William Floyd Bunn

I don't think it's very likely that Jefferson and Elizabeth had two daughters named Dora. I highly suspect that the information you have on your memorial and on New River Notes for the Worrell Cemetery is correct.

Do you have any thoughts as to who the parents may be for the other "Dora" in the Independence Cemetery? She has Find A Grave memorial (#29828858) but it lists no parents.

Thanks for any help you may have in clearing this confusion up for me. I've run across MANY of your memorials and I think you do everything humanly possible to have correct information.
Thanks again,
Susan

Thomas Lackey II memorial #60956223.
Please link him to his father (Thomas Lackey I) Memorial #75891712 and link him to his mother (Agnes Leech) to Memorial #75891801.

Sorry I thought I included the memorial #s.
